As long as we are all on key with mockingbird by the end of the season

Might be worth a try, he was pretty good in his early years in the low minors, except for closers bullpen pitchers are a crapshoot anyway.

No way! You need to spend at LEAST half your payroll on relievers to have any success.

Absolutely should put in a claim and try him out in the pen.  Out of options after 2023, but there really nothing to lose.  

Open spots on 40 man with Liam on 60 day IL, and plenty of fat to trim anyway. 

I suspect he won't even make it to the Sox.

Rockies ahead of Sox too.  League doesn't matter for straight waivers after TDL is my understanding.

Who ever is in charge does seem to be snatching up recently DFA’d/released pitchers.  Never hurts to add more depth.

I'm glad for this, frankly was not happening aggressively enough. No reason John Parke should have been in AAA for 6 years or whatever when they'd clearly never put him in the majors. Should have seen a lot more dealing on minors waivers and dfa guys for such a weak group.

I believe this is Danny Zien's territory.  Maybe he's suddenly been freed up to be more active in acquiring players.
