A little over 2 months in, this is the happiest I have ever been in my professional career (for reference, I am 30). So happy that I decided to leave my last job.

I think its more the idea that you can put someone else in the 2-spot (Madrigal, Leury maybe?) even if you play Eaton against a lefty.

Yeah, I've been on the 2-hole train for a while. Eaton has been bad, Grandal would see a lot of pitches for his teammates early and can draw a walk or two for the middle of the order. Edit: Eaton can slide down to the bottom part to help with the right-handedness.

That's the reason I'm not big on him hitting in the middle of the order. If we were at full strength, I wouldn't hit him higher than 7th.

What threw me off is that someone made a thread about it. Plus I don't remember him speaking prior first days after road trips.

It it tough to say what the offense would have done in extras. Offense and defense definitely let us down this series.

No minor league season sort of hurt some guys' development (like Rutherford) but Sheets and him are both off to good starts so far this year. Maybe we see them soon.

Not behind schedule. The injuries are what's fucking it up. Their LF, CF, and 4th OF all on IL doesn't help their depth.

I've warmed up to Billy Hamilton being a 26th man on this roster (even at full strength so he can pinch run and for defense), but he basically can never start.
