    Vaughn getting work in left I would say is directly linked to them wanting to play Collins every day (especially against righties). If Vaughn hits and Collins doesn't, then you just shift Vaughn to DH and then play Garcia/Engel/pick up in LF.

    Vaughn caught a routine flyball in left. Looked fine. Play him there in opening day.

    That's what I would have him do. Easier to come in for a flyball rather than back.

    Assuming he opens the year on the roster (it seems likely at this point), it kinda stings a bit that they didn't cut Edwin and call him up last year. Oh well.

    With the Sox experimenting with Vaughn in LF, that's pretty telling that Collins will get a shot as the DH.

    Idk we'll see when roster cuts happen and guys need to be moved or released (you can find a better short term option here than Billy frickin Hamilton). Any option is better than CarGo.

    Yeah and I would prefer someone who's been in a big league camp (if coming from outside the organization).

    Hopefully Vaughn is good enough to stick in LF against righties so you can play Collins at DH. Against lefties, Vaughn can DH and Engel can play the OF when he is back.
