  1. Thankfully.
  2. Honestly they probably would have blown more leads without him. He was good in every game except 2.
  3. That's all I want out of all the veterans only here for a year or two, ha.
  4. With his outstanding defense.
  5. "On guys who were here affordably for 6-7 years anyway but now we don't need to pay as much if they are good."
  6. They realize they won a World Series snapping a 108-year drought, despite 2 bad post season outings, because of him right? Dude pitched in every game and without him, they probably don't even make it to the World Series. Edit: it's a hell of a lot better than Tatis Jr for Shields, that's for sure.
  7. If 6.1 WAR over the past 2 years fucking sucks, then yes, he sucks.
  8. Well yeah lol he keeps up with this approach and he will be great.
  9. Yolmer is fine guys. People overreact so much at the beginning of the year since everything is fresh and a small sample size making everything magnified. Yolmer is better than we've seen so far. He is a fine backup.
  10. He actually looks like he can drive a ball rather than Yolmer's loopy soft flyball swing.
  11. Nice at bat so far.
  12. A guy with the last name Beckham helping the Sox? That would be a first.
  13. New season, new approach. Leave him in the 2-spot until he struggles.
  14. Aka: Keep him stretched out for a long relief role if they need him later.
  15. It looks like it was picked out of a hat. I would honestly keep Yoan in the 2-spot (even against lefties) until he has a stretch where he looks awful.
  16. Nah just wait for him to get hurt and then place him on the IL. One of the most certain things in life is a Nate Jones injury.
  17. Agreed. They already have Banuelos who can work in a long-relief role.
  18. Yeah the comparisons and takes in this thread are crazy. "Most likely outcome" lol.
  19. Oh didn't see that.
  20. I don't believe this covers any of his free agent years since he came up last year but I could be wrong.
  21. MLBTR posted a poll asking when he (and Kimbrel) would sign. If he is out there past the draft (no longer have to give up compensation for him), would anyone here be ok with the Sox signing him? Personally, I think he's a better fit in the NL long-term, but if we're talking 4 years max, I might ok with it.
  22. How would this effect Ohtani? I assume he would just count as a pitcher, one of the 13, but can also bat. As opposed to being labeled as a position player who can also pitch, meaning the Angels could carry 13 pitchers + Ohtani.
