I was thinking of that as well. Maybe a small part of why he's letting it drag out is because Spring Training is too long as is and is cool with reporting to it late February/early March. Granted, it's more because he wants a higher offer, but the current offers will still be there at that time anyway.

I would say probably still possible. The hang up might be the Realmuto deal. Depends on what the Dodgers send over because if Verdugo is sent to the Marlins, they suddenly have a need to keep Joc. Dodgers had a ton of depth but the Kemp/Puig deal helped clear that up. Edit: was Bailey released after that deal? He seems like he would have been a candidate to be flipped with a prospect or two to a rebuilding team with a low payroll and a need for innings and so the Dodgers could cut their payroll.

Agreed. Without Machado, I don't really want Alonso nor Jay on the team. The only moves I would have liked is the Herrera deal. Colome I think was a good pickup and could likely be flipped for more than a backup catcher at some point if they want to trade him.

Hes a good enough player that should have interest from other clubs (he does). Its not like it's a bad salary dump where only one team is talking with them.

Spring Training is so long as is (especially for position players) it can honestly go up until the point where teams start playing games.

Probably stay the course of the rebuild and not add any pieces. Nothing else to really add.

I'm 27 and I feel that way. I just can't get into many new games anymore. I barely touch my PS4 at all. Although I did start and beat the RE2 remake today. It was the perfect day for it.
