If he had more of a track record and more than 2 years of control, I'd say keep him. But if a team offers you the value of his current level of production, trade in a heartbeat.

I'd be more inclined to keeping him if he had over 2 years of control. Trade him.

Finish paying off my car, put a nice down payment on a nice house probably in the Bolingbrook/Woodridge/Romeoville area (doesn't have to be a huge mansion or anything), invest some thousands of it, put probably over half in the bank and do some traveling to some countries I've never been to. I wouldn't stop working although I would probably take a year off of work and then find a job after haha

It really didn't hurt either honestly. We all know about the depth the Cubs have at the MLB level and in the minors still and the Indians still had what, 5 top 100 players post-trade?
