They were saying on the Score that Matt Holliday has an option likely to be bought out by the cards after this season. I could totally see us signing him to like a 2 year deal to be the DH.

One thing to consider is Dombrowski wasn't there when Moncada was signed. He wasn't part of the group that invested $63 million into him. He may be just using that excuse as leverage.

There's gotta be a way to work around the fact they paid $63 million for Moncada. Include Robertson or Melky and be willing to eat some cash?
