  1. I'm pretty torn on the Sox right now. On one hand, I think they are in a much different situation than the Mets, Rangers, etc. who have made big splashes right now. The Sox don't really need to do that, persay. On the other hand, I'd be over the moon if JR and Rick said "Fuck it, this is it, go sign Max for the top of the rotation, let's figure it out after, 3 years won't kill us." But we know that's not how they operate.
  2. And they simply can't have every player making 8 figures. As much as we want them to be, they simply aren't a Top 5 spending team and have a lot of money tied up in a lot of different places. They luckily don't hold a lot of "bad money" but Vaughn should provide them + production at a base level salary. That alone provides a decent amount of value. Trading Madrigal also impacted plans, as that's another position where money is now going to have to be spent.
  3. I agree. They are competing against franchises that are just in totally different classes than they are. It's still a mom and pop shop.
  4. Chris Taylor has remarkably even splits against RH and LH pitchers and would fit in very nicely with this team…as one option. I didn’t say I was against acquiring a RH hitting 2B. But just because someone doesn’t want to use Kimbrel to acquire Jean Segura doesn’t mean “they expect superstars at every position.”
  5. Who is asking for that? Who even mentioned that? But it's fair to ask if acquiring someone like Jean Segura is redundant given how this lineup is currently constructed.
  6. Seriously, anyone defending this organization, or hoping for the best, or being optimistic....just stop. I don't care if you're the most positive person in the world...this organization has given you NOTHING to latch onto in the form of hope. NOTHING
  7. Don't let real stats get in the way of @iWiN4PreP not liking Semien because his ratings are low in MLB The Show....
  8. It makes me very pleased they seem to realize adding a front line SP is vital…
  9. The White Sox have won 3 Playoff series since 1917, and all 3 came in 2005. Chew on that for a second.
  10. I don't know why relievers don't take this more seriously with their music. I feel like no one remembers this, but there was a small window where Jenks was coming out to The Game from Motorhead and it was sooooo awesome.
  11. Alright, so lets add up the total in 2022 owed to Hendricks, Kimbrel and Graveman real quick....
  12. She was great.
  13. I did too, it worked for me. I could see people thinking it was too corny or over the top, but it worked for me. There were 100% issues with the movie. It seemed to totally shift tones once they hit the Walmart, it went from a "simple" movie to feeling like a big budget blockbuster way too quickly, but again, for me it was a movie that didn't try to take itself too seriously and kind of felt like a love letter to the diehards, which I appreciate.
  14. Ghostbusters was harmless, fan-servicy fun....and I had no problem with it. Wasn't the greatest, wasn't the worst. Had some laughs, the ending pretty much worked for me too. Way better than the 2016 version, and I'm glad it didn't take itself too seriously. I enjoyed it
  15. Ah the classic GreenSox post. Shitting on Hahn for players you don’t approve of, yet never saying who you would like to acquire, or what the plan should be. You’re the guy that goes to his boss and complains about a problem, but never offers a solution. Just wants to b****.
  16. It also should tell us there is something seriously wrong with Rodon, at least in the eyes of the Sox.
  17. I'm 100% serious when I say if it's that big of a deal to him.......go send him down to Florida with his own pitching coach, let him play on some high school field and put him on a program. You're going to be spending upwards of 20 million a season on him, what's a few hundred thousand to send him to Florida for 4-5 weeks?
  18. As always, hard to see the Sox outbidding the Yankees, Astros, etc. Prove us wrong, Sox.
  19. Have you seen this trend on YouTube where it's people watching movies for the first time? They will show like clips of the movie 6-7 seconds at a time and the people are basically reacting for 20 minutes. It's incredibly annoying, but what I find "interesting" is the list of movies they claim they have never seen. This channel for example: https://www.youtube.com/c/PopcornInBed Some of the movies she has never seen include: Shawshank, Stand By Me, Back To The Future, Saving Private Ryan, Ghostbusters, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Alien, Jaws, The Breakfast Club, Pulp Fiction, Office Space, Jurassic Park, Terminator, Wizard of Oz, and so on and so on. How the hell do you have a successful movie channel and never seen this movies?!?!
  20. KC mentioned it last night about Lonzo not caring about his shooting % when taking half court shots before the quarter ends, but I think one of the biggest things I've seen with this team is how unselfish they seem to be. They really seem to be working as a "team" and it's showing up in their record, no doubt.
