  1. Maybe I’m crazy but I feel like Burke’s stuff could play up as a reliever.
  2. Anyone know if this is accurate?
  3. I somewhat understood the Booser trade because he had a lot of team control and was a “fresh” arm despite being older. Thought there was at least a possibility they could flip him for something better. But needless to say it hasn’t worked out.
  4. The Booser and Gilbert trades were just so bad in hindsight.
  5. His stuff looked better than I thought. He’s still fairly young too. Maybe they have something in him.
  6. If he keeps playing like this, 2 years/$40 million will look like a bargain.
  7. Seems like they made the right choice to keep him. He will be more valuable in the offseason at this rate.
  8. Josh Naylor and Devin Williams.
  9. I read they optioned all 3 guys they got for Houser to AAA, but hopefully that’s not true. Mead at the very minimum should be in Chicago.
  10. I’m fine with the trade, but don’t know why they immediately optioned Mead to AAA. He should take Josh Rojas spot.
  11. I’m getting concerned they won’t even trade Houser.
  12. The fact that he has an extra year of control should make him even more valuable as a trade chip, I would think.
  13. I like Tauchman but don’t understand why they would keep him unless the offers are terrible. He’s old and won’t be here when the team could be good again.
  14. Can you send a link to the article? I’d be interested in reading it. Thanks!
  15. I’m thinking this is because teams want to see proof that he’s healthy before they pull the trigger on trading for him.
  16. Better be getting Miller and Crawford then if Taylor is going the other way.
  17. This was my thought too. But then someone else made another good point that it wouldn’t make sense to put an injury out there given his history. Who knows. Either way I don’t think he will be here for much longer.
  18. I don’t understand why he is still on the team.
  19. Am I crazy for thinking they can get something for Altavilla? Not expecting a ton obviously, but he has been good so far.
  20. I feel like they have generally been better at managing injuries this year, but I don’t understand why they would let him continue to pitch if they knew he wasn’t 100% healthy. Still better than an upper body injury imo. But yeah, it is concerning especially given how tall he is.
  21. Oddly enough, this news kind of made me feel better. One because it’s not arm/elbow/shoulder related, and two, it could explain why he hasn’t been pitching good as of late.
  22. What do you mean by this? Because they said he could still be a starter in the future.
  23. I was looking at the Barons Gameday on MILB.com today and Schultz had at least two walks than should have been strikeouts according to the pitch tracker. It appears minor league umps are awful. So that’s something to take into consideration when looking at his walk totals.
  24. I’d love Bauer if they can get him in the 2nd round.
