That’s what I don’t get. Normally the foodie accounts and these other random “insiders” who throw stuff at the wall just want attention. He doesn’t seem to want that, yet keeps bringing attention to himself by posting. I need to go to bed.

If that was the case, nobody is forcing him to share anything. I just don’t understand his angle. It’s like he wants attention but doesn’t want attention at the same time. Thankfully this Imai stuff will be over soon regardless so I can stop thinking about it.

If he really was that legit, why would the front office be fine with him leaking negotiation updates in real time for the entire world to see? It doesn’t add up.

He’s playing both sides so he can claim he was right regardless of how it plays out. Classic.

It makes no logical sense. I’m hoping the Sox sign Imai for multiple reasons, one of which is to prove that he doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

The Nifty News part stood out to me if they really are a reputable source but maybe I’m looking too deeply into it.

Saw someone say earlier that even with Imai, their payroll would only be like $120 million. For a normal franchise, that isn’t unreasonable at all.

Tigers, Guardians, Royals, Sox, Twins in that order as of now in my opinion.

If they lose 100 games again next season, that would be a failure of epic proportions.

Imai makes so much sense for this team. Only 27, no QO attached, Sox need more pitching, continue building a Japanese pipeline. I just fear he will be too “expensive”. Guess we’ll find out soon enough either way.

Unless Boras is conspiring with the Japanese media, I’m not sure what the Yahoo Sports Japan has to gain by lying about the White Sox being interested in Imai.

I feel like there is a significant distinction between having a seat at the table and what that article said. If the Sox were just listed in a big group of teams, then yeah it would feel like that. But that article straight up said the Sox are the frontrunners. How true that is I don’t know, but the wording feels different.

I’m skeptical that the Sox will get him even after the report from today, but it’s not because of “Northbrook Bob”

Why are we acting like “Northbrook Bob” knows anything?
