  1. YES YES YES YES YES MELKY!
  2. How did Avi not get to 3rd on that?
  3. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ May 27, 2016 -> 08:24 PM) No one is getting fired nor should they be This s***ty logic is the reason why the Sox have sucked for years.
  4. Time to trade him to Oakland for Sonny or Atlanta for Teheran.
  5. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ May 27, 2016 -> 04:48 PM) Does it matter at this moment in time? I was just curious because I want to buy tickets when he is scheduled to pitch at the Cell.
  6. QUOTE (flavum @ May 22, 2016 -> 08:25 PM) I goofed earlier. June 21 is at Boston. Sale's 9 starts until the break: 5-24 vs Indians 5-29 at Royals 6-4 at Tigers 6-10 vs Royals 6-15 vs Tigers 6-21 at Red Sox 6-26 vs Blue Jays 7-2 at Astros 7-8 vs Braves Do you think any of these dates have changed because of the postponement at KC?
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ May 27, 2016 -> 11:45 AM) Wouldn't mind Neal Ramirez Who?
  8. If this game gets postponed, how will the Sox pitching rotation line up for the next few days? Will they skip Gonzalez or simply push everyone back a day?
  9. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 26, 2016 -> 01:10 PM) Nick - Presume this is your blog you are linking two (given two posts and two blog links). As the owner of Soxtalk, I love supporting various individuals blogs and efforts on the site but do ask that you partake in the community and the overall discussion (and not just pimp links). Pimpin' ain't easy, but it's necessary.
  10. Can we trade Robin for a bucket of bubblegum to be chewed later?
  11. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ May 25, 2016 -> 02:53 PM) I've been saying it all week, but: Eaton Jackson Frazier Cabrera Abreu Lawrie Garcia Catcher Saladino And Abreu can move back to 3 if he keeps hitting This. This right here. Why Robin doesn't use your lineup suggestion is bafflling to me. It's almost like he doesn't want to win.
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ May 25, 2016 -> 02:00 PM) No you wouldn't, as there's no reason to rebuild unless they trade your BFF Sale. If trading Sale meant that the Sox as a team would be good again, I'd be all for it. Sale is one of my all time favorites, but I'd much rather have the Sox be successful as a team than him.
  13. I really have no expectations for this team anymore. All I know is that the Sox won't be in first place for much longer if they can't get their s*** together.
  14. On the bright side, this clunker by Sale should let me buy a couple autographs of his a lot cheaper than what they were going for a few weeks ago.
  15. QUOTE (StrykerSox @ May 24, 2016 -> 09:04 PM) If anything, Chris Sale's CY status just went from "nobody else gets any righteous votes at all" to "no one else gets a single first place vote". No biggie. I know it's stupid to worry about it, but I just want to see Sale win at least one of them. The Sox have been so bad as a team the past few years that I've had to settle for rooting for individual players to win awards. I feel like Sale has been worthy of the award quite a few times already but has never gotten the recognition he deserves. Just hope this game is a minor blip on the radar for him and the team as a whole.
  16. Not sure if it's purely coincidental, but it seems like Sale pitches much better this season when he has 5 full days of rest as opposed to 4.
  17. @ckamka Dallas Keuchel had a 9-run start during 2015 Cy Young season. Clayton Kershaw had a 7-run start during 2014 Cy Young season. It happens.
  18. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ May 24, 2016 -> 08:47 PM) Took a shower, what happened with Avi/Lawrie? Lawrie was on second base. Avi hit a grounder to Lindor, the shortstop. Instead of going back to the base, Lawrie took a step forward and froze, and then got thrown out at third base. Avi ran too far past first base at the same time and the Indians then threw and tagged him out too. All in all, it was probably one of the worst baserunning gaffes I've ever seen.
  19. QUOTE (fathom @ May 24, 2016 -> 08:46 PM) Sorry Benetti, fangraphs has the Sox as a bad base running team No sabermetric statistic can quantify how piss poor and idiotic that last baserunning play was.
