  1. Just win. It doesn't really matter what any other team is doing as long as the Sox consistently win games. The Sox can control their own destiny.
  2. QUOTE (hi8is @ Apr 17, 2016 -> 10:40 PM) First time all year we've lost two in a row. It's April. We're on the road. Step away from the ledge. Agreed. I would have killed for an 8-4 start at the beginning of the season. The offense will come around eventually. Let's just hope it's sooner rather than later.
  3. Why exactly is Avi playing over Melky? Makes no sense.
  4. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 17, 2016 -> 07:23 AM) Despite the team being 8-3 it is pretty obvious they are no more, than a 65-70 win team. Just from what I hav read here, there are a lot of problems. Eaton, Lawrie clubhouse cancers Avila, Fraizer, Cabrera, Rollins washed up The league has figured out Abreu Avi is one of the worst players in baseball Jerry Sands serves no purpose They have Danks in the rotation and Petricka, Duke, Putnam in the bullpen You know it is just a matter of time with Latos Even Chris Sale is too much of a hot head and should go away. Finally they are managed by a stooge. 8-3 with 9 games in the road is OK, but despite all these horrible players and manager and coaches, it clearly should be better. The fans deserve better. Did you forget to type this post in green font?
  5. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 17, 2016 -> 10:08 AM) Upcoming series- Mon- Santiago vs Rodon Tue- Shoemaker vs Latos Wed- Richards vs Sale Thu- Weaver vs Danks Day games Wednesday and Thursday. Then the Rangers come to town. 5-3 the next 8 would be just swell. It's possible the Sox could sweep or get swept in that series. It should be interesting to see how things unfold. I'd be happy with 3/4.
  6. Losses are going to happen. Go get 'em tomorrow, take 2/3, and come home 9-3.
  7. I was expecting to lose this game just because Danks was pitching, but this lack of offense is concerning.
  8. Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if the Sox lost today.
  9. QUOTE (Dunt @ Apr 16, 2016 -> 05:37 PM) Lawrie is one of the few guys pulling their weight at the plate right now. His D has been more than fine. That's what she said.
  10. I'm no pitching coach, but I think one reason why Danks is always vulnerable and why hitters tee off on him is because they can see the ball all the way throughout his ENTIRE windup...he has literally no deception at all.
  11. It'd be nice to get a run or two early on.
  12. I bet Sale was a little extra motivated tonight since he had family at the ballpark.
  13. They gotta let Sale go for the shutout now, right?
  14. This is the best Sale has looked in a long time.
  15. Hopefully these new late additions to their lineup don't hurt Sale at all.
  16. Sale has been crazy efficient so far. Love it.
  17. 38 pitches through 3 for Sale. Not too bad.
