4/5 Sox @ Oakland
Frazier has looked terrible so far (though it's only been a few at-bats).

The Sox are leading the division now.

Lol, sorry for stealing your thunder man. I'm just so anxious for the game to start that I forgot all the rules around here.

QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Apr 5, 2016 -> 07:32 AM) With last year's offense, last night's game is a 3-2, 3-1 loss. So much better when you can actually score 4 runs haha Absolutely. The bullpen looked solid as well (with the exception of Petricka), and the offense will only get better as time goes on. If the Sox can win 3/4 in Oakland, I will be very happy. They should win tonight too since the pitching matchup is in their favor again.

Sale wasn't awful yesterday. Could've been better, but not terrible.

This is a big inning for Sale IMO. He has to keep the momentum in our favor.

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Apr 4, 2016 -> 08:38 PM) Where's the hype?? I feel like barely any Soxtalkers are going to be watching this game, compared to the average opening day That's because the game starts so f***ing late.

QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Apr 4, 2016 -> 04:13 PM) I wonder if we should scratch Sale tonight. Seems like pitching him here is a waste when he's not needed to win. Pitch Danks against Hill and let him pad his record for trade value. Than come back with Sale later in the series when he might be needed to get a win. This might be the dumbest post I've seen on here all day.

I do think the Sox will get more than 1 run off of Gray; they killed him last time (though he was battling an injury if I recall correctly).

Sands gets the 25th spot
How do you think the lineup will be against lefty starters? If I had to guess, I'd say: Eaton (CF) Cabrera (DH) Abreu (1B) Frazier (3B) Lawrie (2B) Navarro © Garcia (LF) Sands (RF) Saladino (SS)

2016 Opening Day Thread
It might be fun if we each posted our predictions for the line for each starting pitcher as well as the final score. My guesses are: Sale - 7.1 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 9 K Gray - 6.2 IP, 6 H, 3 ER, 2 BB, 6 K White Sox win 6-4 behind an Abreu 3 run shot and a solo homer by Frazier.

Chris Sale Scratched From Monday's Start
One of the mods should change the title of this thread lol. I almost had a heart attack the first time I glanced at it.

White Sox Sign Miguel Gonzalez
The Sox will always have attendance issues if the team is horrible. I got nice seats to the SECOND home game of the year when CHRIS SALE is pitching for $16.

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Apr 1, 2016 -> 10:56 AM) By the way, April Fools! Sorry, I had to continue the tradition of April 1st Sale fake-injury threads, and didn't want to pick something too obviously fake. Damn you. I fell for this.

Last man on the roster is down to...
QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Mar 31, 2016 -> 05:47 PM) I bet they're putting off announcing the last spot will go to Ishikawa because they are likely working on adding someone else and delaying having to put Ishikawa on 40 until the very end of Spring Training. Just my own theory since it's that time of year where lots of guys move around. How big of a move? No idea. I agree. Whether it's Loney, Gonzalez, or someone else, I think Hahn has a move up his sleeve before the season starts.

White Sox Sign Miguel Gonzalez
I'd be absolutely fine with the Sox signing Gonzalez. Pitching depth is a concern right now, but adding him would make me feel much more confident.
