I'd take Loney over Sands in a heartbeat. If nothing else, he could hit in the second spot in the order and play solid defense. He has a solid OBP that would be nice behind Eaton and in front of Abreu/Frazier/Cabrera.

I don’t know if he is the second best reliever on the team, but he absolutely should get more opportunities in high leverage spots than Petricka IMO.

This game is huge. I’m not confident in Latos for tomorrow anyway, but winning against their ace would give this team major confidence.

I will be very impressed if the Sox go to 3-0 tonight. Gray is tough, but also hittable.
