  1. Yoan to Catcher, heard it here first.
  2. It'll be great for positional versatility to have the two of them rotate between SS & C to make sure they don't get worn out.
  3. Eloy should take Nicky's spot.
  4. I understand this, but I wasn't making an argument, I was putting out a hypothetical question based on previous history of his here. Hypothetically had he been brought back, he may have very well come into the season fully healthy and posted the same numbers. Or he may not have. It's something we'll never know. And like I said in my original post, I'm glad he's doing well and it sucks he couldn't do it here more often, but it seemed to be time to move on for both parties. You don't need to agree with that view, it's just how I see the situation. Everything on a message board isn't about winning arguments per se, it can be about posing questions for discussion purposes.
  5. How is that a unfair or a poor take? Because he's hitting how he is in TB now does not mean he'd doing the exact same thing here had he stayed. Avi ALWAYS got hurt here. How is it unfair to put into question the players injury history when it's as poor as it was here? To me, it seems fair to bring up but I'd love an actual explanation as to why it's a poor and bad take and not just fanboi ramblings about a player who's no longer here.
  6. He was also playing as like 3+ years younger or so than EVERYONE ELSE he went up against at like every damn level. Imagine what he'll be able to do once he matures. Dude seems to be a freak.
  7. Yeah this could be very possible as well. Could've given him the kick in the ass that he needed to get going.
  8. I just think it goes to show us how insanely competent other ORGs are run OR how incredibly incompetent the Sox are.
  9. Honestly, who's to say that if Avi stayed here that he'd A) be hitting like he is now and B) even stayed healthy to do it to this point? We all know that he had the talent in him to do something like this, but he was just never able to consistently put it together here. If Avi was having another one of his patented Avi-like seasons no one would care that he's gone. Hell, even if he stayed here and performed like his usual self everyone here would be wanting to drive him to the airport 2 weeks ago. It's nice to see him doing well, sucks that he couldn't do it more often here, but it seemed to be time for both parties to go their separate ways IMO.
  10. Thanks, everyone loves a lil Nic Cage.
  11. Without looking anything up I'll raise you Chris Young.
  12. It's very nice to see him putting together some nice ABs and trying to get out of that horrid slump he was in.
  13. I'm just glad you're a fan and not an actual decision maker for the team. How does it not matter if they are literal black holes in the lineup batting .040 or .120? How is it beneficial for their development if they're getting destroyed at the major league level? This team was NOTORIOUS for rushing prospects because of need, which failed MISERABLY (outside of Sale, who is a freak). Why fall back into old habits that were obviously foolish when it's 100% unnecessary at the moment?
  14. Well this explains why he left the game early.
  15. I disagree. They DFA'D (and later released) Danks who was making more than Yonder. Canned Latos, Rollins, Holland, Santana, etc. after dumpster performances. If anything, they seem to be more willing to cut bait on sunk costs now. If he keeps sucking and Collins is still performing at AAA, why not just cut bait and call him up to replace him?
  16. He debuted in AA when LuBob did last week, had a very nice line that night.
  17. They have the Sox picking Abrams here & passing on Vaughn.
