If we fail on Machado I would be happy if we went after Seager. I think last year was a fluke for him edit: didnt think his 2017 was bad but thats when he started to decline.. still would like him if the trade is right

There are a few options, and the giants wouldnt be taking on the whole contract. They could trade 1 of Happ, Schwarber, possibly Almora. Looking at the Giants outfield last year they were horrendous. Heyward and any one of the above would drastically improve it. Is it smart? Hell no, but dumb trades happen all the time. Im just saying its a possibility.

A team like the Giants, who for some reasoned signed Longoria and McCutchen last year, would definitely be up to trade for Heyward, a portion of his contract and a couple of mlb ready talent with higher upside. I dont understand why this is out of the question to you all.. its not like a creative 'win/win' trade couldnt be worked out.

The White Sox are a terrible franchise in the eyes of the media and national baseball fans outside of a small niche in Chicago. Its best to stay away from any news coverage about us as it might increase a likelihood of developing an inferiority complex.

Cubs sent whole minor league operations to Vegas, including athletic trainers.

From what i remember he was, but with hindsight and this being 2 years ago i cant be too sure. The media mainly focused on the poor red sox at the time.

So surprised a bigger fiasco wasnt made of that.. and why didnt our FO fight tooth and nail to reverse that trade
