  1. If you can trade grandal for a bucket of balls you consider that a win. The balls are more valuable right now.
  2. Just turned the game on the mlb app. Here comes the comeback
  3. Royals winner. Nice day for us. 2 twins losses and a guardians loss
  4. If Jose Abreu regressing is a .300 average, 20 HRs and 80-90 rbis that is still the best on the team. You have to keep him for another year. Jose is rarely injured and a good clubhouse guy. Sheets is the one guy who is really improving. It is obvious he knew he had to learn to go the opposite way and he right now is one of our most complete hitters. If he keeps it up the rest of the year I think you have to get him at bats against LHP to see what he can do. Maybe he becomes a good trade chip but right now he is possibly our best hitter and he is not injury prone. He is learning the OF, maybe he can get better in RF. This all goes back to poor drafting and putting the team together with so many of the same type of guys. Eloy, Vaughn, Sheets, Burger, Abreu are all DH/1B types. Get rid of Moncada would be my advice.
  5. They may play them but they are clear liabilities out there. Eloy and Vaughn are horrible outfielders that cost you runs and ultimately games. Grandal is not even close to being worth the 15 or so million we pay him, Seby is a more productive catcher at this point. Grandal has thrown out 17% of guys attempting to steal this year, down from 19% last year. He is not good, his defensive WAR is -.1 over his 3 years with the Sox. Sheets is a decent 1B and Abreu is OK. But those other 3 have no business being in the OF and catching.
  6. Predicting a win because everything says we should lose.
  7. Brilliant move skipping your best pitcher for a guy who couldnt get an out. But of course that guy was Geared up! Another player made of brittle glass.
  8. Single to right, 1 out, moncada jogs to 3rd. No chance to send him. We then don't score.
  9. Bases loaded 1 out. 25% chance of score
  10. Cut moncada, guy plays with zero desire. No drive, no emotion. Goes through the motions. Bench him a week and send a message
  11. How bad of a managed team are you that you give teams third base so they won't steal your signs. Tony is damn useless. Maybe change your signs up
  12. Zavala please. Seen enough of Grandal
  13. We have dumb players. If we are patient Valdez might not even start next inning. We bail him out.
  14. Maybe if our guys were not a threat to go on the DL every time they sprint to first we would be ok. Eloy runs hard 1x and he was close to coming out of the game. How can pro athletes not be able to sprint 90 ft? Can you please condition yourself to run the bases?
  15. Why not bunt? He cant hit. And bregman was so deep with shift in
  16. First game back from injury also. TLR is a old fool
  17. Well we picked the right game for her first game. On our way to Chicago. Verlander vs Cease. Picked up 2 tickets right next to sox dugout, 8th row. Tickets were going on stubhub the last 2 days so should be great crowd. Some of you mentioned skylark which sounds good. How close is that to the stadium? Walking or uber? Taking red line in early. And when do gates open for sox games? Thanks for all the advice, staying in mag mile area.
  18. Sox are good at arguing strikes that they dont think are strikes even though the computer shows them to be strikes.
