The founding fathers were architectural geniuses

Robert won't win it. Renteria might win it. Abreu should win it.

Nice. I am also voting 3rd party. I am also a Christian. I also do not understand why people who call themselves Christians think Trump is the savior, or how they can't see his dividing rhetoric.

Which manager doesn't have problems with some players though?
-
Look, I'm not a fan of La russa being the manager as much as most on here, but this was over 10 years ago. People do change. This is like a person in a relationship bringing up some shit the other person did a decade ago. It's illogical. People of color obviously respected La Russa when he managed. All you need to do is listen to the most recent Sox Talk Podcast to gather that insight.

If that's the case (and I'm not mocking you) then we should just have Engel be the every day RF, and resign Dyson to be the primary backup OF with Leury being able to play out there as well.

Castellanos exercised his option to stay with Cincinatti. So unless you're trading...he's not going anywhere.

Sox expected to be a "little bolder financially" than most
Ducksnort replied to soxfan49's topic in Pale Hose Talk
As with any manager. But at least they'll feel good doing it! -
That is ALOT of money for 1 season...He may very well accept it considering the pa demic and its effects on the game... then again he is a pitcher and you never know when injuries will happen so he will be looking for security

I was joking

After the backlash the team is getting, from the fans and media alike, from this managerial hiring, they better be more than "just a little" bolder financially. They better be very bold. While also being smart with their signings. -
I think Stone should be the manager

This thread has been very enjoyable to read. In the last 20 minutes I've been shocked, disgusted, intrigued, depressed, excited, and I've laughed pretty hard. Especially at that email announcement with Hinch's signature. That is some funny shit.

Scott Merkin: "One thing I've learned about the White Sox over the past two decades is the “news” that becomes front and center about the team without confirmation usually doesn't happen." I don't think TLR is getting hired.

Seriously, I click on a topic and get excited when it says "hot topic!" thinking there's a rumor or some kind of interesting discussion happening, and come to find it's just people b****ing to one another. Happened so many times.
-
That's what I was thinking. And especially at catcher
-
But...I don't think you can say "injuries aside." They are literally the reason why he has not developed like everyone expected him to.
-
I would not have hired Tony Larussa

Damn this is some good popcorn. Also La Russa is only 8 years younger than JR lmao

I guess I never watch them...I usually take a couple months off from anything Sox related until the hot stove starts to heat up lol. Usually need to get the losing feeling out of my system. -

Or maybe it's just the normal end of year press conference? -

There's like 5 threads out there about James McCann. As much as I would love to keep him, the way he was talking about his memories in Chicago during his postgame interview, it sounded like he was saying his good-byes.
