  1. What if it is not Jackson? What if it is Mark Buehrle? What if the Sox reached out to Mark for a few more years and were not even close on the numbers. Complete guess but it makes me wonder with the Cards involved.
  2. The Sox have not done a good job with young talented position players. They tend to stagnate and regress. Is Rasmus overhyped here on Soxtalk? Some posters have been wanting this guy for years. Salary relief may be necessary since the team has been so below expectations that it can be frustrating to go and watch them. I'm ready for any changes since they will not make the changes in coaching and manager.
  3. I understand the argument to replace Pierre with Tank, but right now I would replace Dunn with Tank. Let Dunn have a minor nagging "injury" and let him work things out. Let Dunn play a rehab stint in the minors to get things going again. When Dunn comes back crushing the ball, then Tank can go to left field if he is hitting.
  4. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jun 28, 2011 -> 05:37 AM) Kenny. Though if we end up not making the playoffs this year then they both have to go. The Peavy and Dunn moves were the right ones to make, that being said I don't think I can ever forgive Kenny for the Jackson trade. I want KW back. I can forgive the Jackson trade because he has had many successful moves such as Santos, Humber, Danks, and so on. I would replace Ozzie before KW to find out if a different manager who uses voodoo mumbo jumbo like statistics would be able to better use the players that KW brings it. They should have replaced Walker 3 years ago to find out if the offensive problems could be solved. I feel that KW would have fired both Walker and Ozzie a long time ago if it wasn't for JR. I feel KW would be an even better GM if JR would let him run the show. The only way to know for sure is to boot Ozzie and let KW have a couple more years with a manager of his choice.
  5. All of those slumps were late in the season where he may have been tired from taking few days off. Dunn will turn it around, but he sure has some WORK tadoooo! /DJ. Booing Dunn will not help. He is not Dewayne Wise. Booing will not get him sent to the minors. Booing Dunn is stupid. Those fans have the right to boo and Dunn's performance is boo worthy so far in his slump. Booing Dunn is stupid because it can only hurt. GO! ADAM! GO! SOX!!Something to think about next time we are pissing on a statue
  6. “I’m happy to go home now and sleep very, very soundly every night not wondering if someone is going to call me to figure out what happened back in such and such and such, because I’m sure there are a lot of guys going home right now still worried” Great interview. If you want, it is available on podcast. I love Big Frank.
  7. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 13, 2011 -> 11:43 PM) I just learned Sergio's nickname in middle school was The Wizard. Thoughts on a nickname of The Wiz? The Wizard? I think a caller to the Score suggested the Mexican Assassin. Sounded cool to me, but is probably in bad taste with real people getting assassinated in Mexico all too frequently. I don't like Wiz because it reminds me of taking a piss. The Wizard works for me!
  8. QUOTE (CarlosMartinez @ May 13, 2011 -> 11:36 PM) Yes it was nice to hear Wimpy. Memories of the 1990's all game long and they top it off with a win. Let's get 2 more and head back home! Stone is a great color guy, but Wimpy seems to fit with Hawk better. Wimpy just seems positive which can help Hawk when he gets pissed off and quiet during a losing streak.
  9. Nice to have a bullpen! I think Hawk is starting to come out of his depression a bit. Nice to hear the Wimparoo!
  10. TWO Series in a row! That was a VERY fun win. Jake back! Come back! Paully behind the back!! The Sox are BACK!
  11. Despite the injuries and the disappointing time with the Sox, I STILL like Jake Peavy. I HOPE he can spark success for the whole team. Go Jake! GO SOX!
  12. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 28, 2011 -> 10:39 AM) I'd be shocked if Dunn even played tonight. I think he will keep playing no matter who is pitching to get his timing on track so he can explode for 40 more bombs this season. I will admit that my prediction may be a bit of wishful thinking.
  13. 10 hits 5 runs Rios and Dunn both have 2 hits Dunn with 4 RBI
  14. STOP THROWING AWAY OUTS!!! Juan 5 sb and 6 cs! Horrible. He's not alone. Stop. Just stop.
  15. I started Burnett in my fantasy league. My fantasy team sucks this year so this is the best I can do to help the Sox start that long winning streak.
  16. Hypothetically, If Ozzie were fired, would it be big enough change to promote Cora as interim manager? If not Cora, then who can fill in immediately? It's getting to the point where there needs to be a jolt to this team to wake them up. I'm not sure firing Walker would make that much of a difference if Ozzie is no longer able get things back on track. I really wish they would start a long, long winning streak.
  17. Taking matters in my own hands to start a winning steak boys! Happy Easter to you too Mr. Farmer and all of Soxtalk!
  18. This used to work when I was a kid. I'm desperate. Hey tigers, Uga Booga bay, No win today! !XOS OG
  19. QUOTE (since56 @ Apr 23, 2011 -> 09:35 AM) Sox fan with a cub fan mentality Please don't use the "cub fan" insult lightly. Better to call someone an a-hole.
  20. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Apr 21, 2011 -> 07:37 PM) Wow, I'm trying to think of the analogy I mocked earlier this week for being terrible, but it doesn't come to mind. It doesn't matter anyway, as this one is twice as bad. That hurt my feelings. BOOO!
  21. Let's get our closer back on track... whoever that is now.
  22. Hopefully his job will be easier if the Sox break the losing streak
