He doesn't have the offensive shine you hope for in 300 guy, but I guess he is technically worth it. The biggest concerns would be health and lack of 35 HR potential. But still a big time gamer.

His bat is every bit as good as Moncada's when he is healthy. His defense ain't it though.

It won't be their only move. Their offense is gonna be sick they just need to load up on pitching however they can get it.

I think we need to accept Moncada for the player he is. A guy that will get on base and crush balls for singles and doubles and about 25 to 30 homers. If he continues to play very good defense that is still a great player. Our more consistent HR power the next two years will mostly come from Robert, Eloy, Abreu, and Vaughn.

Moncada has hit plenty of balls hard. Covid is dangerous but I'm not buying it zapping his power at this point.

I think Hahn is panicking because he traded Madrigal. I would have cut Kimbrel and signed Semien or Story etc. Would have eased some sting of that trade.

There is nothing wrong with Grandal when he hits for power and walks. If he is not hitting, it is a problem. We need a upgrade at 2nd and RF. Conforto is an upgrade but should be signed if we get a big fish at second. But we don't have that type of money apparently, so he may be the big signing.

I think we didn't extend Rodon a QO because he is either getting a 2 year deal or a 1 year prove it deal. I think he gets a 1 year deal loaded with incentives. I could see him getting 1 yr and 10-12 million with his risk.
