  1. I agree with that, you can never have enough pitching. Just those 1 run and 2 run loses are going to be hard to stomach if the Reds are going to go that way. Reminds me of Quintana.... Poor Jose
  2. Ironic that two teams want to cash out quickly on Narvaez
  3. Reminds me of the Buehrle years & Sale years of us tbh.
  4. I might still be in the minority here, but if we don't land both Wheeler and someone like Castellanos, Collins may be trade bait for a SP/OF.
  5. I'd think Mercedes is the 26th man on the roster on opening day, as long as he doesn't lay an egg in ST.
  6. Granted you said you and your source have parted ways in the past, I think? But I trust your word in high regard. The raBBit has spoken. In raBBit we trust.
  7. Damnit Chuck! Was just about to post this... there’s no way he has the scoop, right?
  8. Lol Keuchel would be such a Kenny move
  9. Yeah I believe MN is 9.85% for earners over 156,9 singles, 261,5 for married... Illinois with progressive tax will be 7.99% for >750k singles, >$1M married, iirc. Jesus, I thought IL was bad.... MN is terrible. I'll stick with my WI taxes and just work in Chicago.... Reciprocity ftw
  10. He's better with a shortened field, I can tell you that without the stats.... lol
  11. It looks like when you shrunk the field and took him out of Comerica, his UZR (non-UZR/150) went from -4.5 to -0.6, still below average and quite better than his -12.9 from 2018.... It's essentially mitigating his below average defense when you put him in a field like the Cell for 81 games, as it shows with him being in Wrigley. His arm also went to 0.3 while in Wrigley to. 2019 UZR/150 (DET): -6.3 2019 UZR/150 (CHC): -2.0 2018 UZR/150 (DET): -12.3
  12. I agree... There's no way we are going to go 6/132 on Wheeler. Uncle Jerry might pass on the spot
  13. Minnesota or Illinois taxes for 81 games... Not sure which is better considering the progressive tax will be in affect. lol
  14. Wheeler is priority #1 after we signed Grandal, then we grab Castellanos IMO. I keep saying this over and over and beating a dead horse, but his bat translates so well to the Cell. i can put up with bad defense due to his bat.
  15. Seeing this too, most noteable the SNY reporter that covers both the NYM & NYY. If it's not the Mets, it's got to be us. Still good on Wheeler if we truely are the high offer, asked if Mets could match. If they can't, then he's ours IMO.
  16. Honestly, I respect the free agents that go back and check with the club they were with, it shows a sign of respect and a sense of loyalty. Leverage? Maybe, but idk. I know Buehrle did that with us when he went to the Marlins... He had loyalty for us and the respect to ask us again. Good on Wheeler regardless of it works out for us or not.
  17. Wheeler and Castellanos or bust tbh. I originally hated the Castellanos idea, but his bat translates so well to the Cell. He’d be worth his probable 4/65 market.
  18. “I’ll sign myself and play for free.... plus a 2/28M extension”
  19. All intents and purposes it was a 2/28 extension.
  20. Yessir. And that's about what I predicted for him as well, 2/26-28 or 3/38. Besides, Abreu has the "Konerko" lifetime contract now. He's never leaving the Sox.
  21. IB used to do Football and slobbed on the Jets knob, was wrong at that too. That guy is something else.
  22. ^^ Ray gets that it's pretty much a 2/28M extension due to the $4M in deferred & $5M signing bonus.
  23. He's got the Konerko for life contract. Was bound to happen.
