Sox @ Seamen 6/11 8:40 CDT
He looks like he belongs. Wanna see him when his control is sharp.

Sox @ Seamen 6/11 8:40 CDT
Has maldonado ever put 2 balls in play in 1 game before? Jeez, I can't believe I asked that question.

White Sox "actively seeking" packages for Robert
I'm tired of Robert as much as the other guys. Two decent prospects and I'd trade him. Staying healthy is an important skill. I'm sick of injury prone players.

How much better would this team be if Ozzie was the manager?
Worked with a guy named Todd Whitmer. Everybody called TWhit.
-
Brooks Baldwin
Sox can't afford to wait and see with him. He'll be 24 in late August. Should be sent to Charlotte or Chicago after the All star break.

6/9 Games
Homers, line drives and walks. He's passed Colson for best position player prospect.

Can the sox have the best farm system in baseball after the deadline
Go have another glass of Bergin.

Fire Pedro Grifol
Don't watch often. But it is the worst managed game I've seen this year.

I believe it's spelled Moldy.

Korey Lee should have hit here. Colas overmatched.

White Sox calling up Thorpe
Good to here. Ramos and Sean Burke should follow after the All star break if they keep playing well.

6/7 Games
I think that is his floor. His ceiling is Robin Ventura with a few less bombs.

Keith Law's Updated Top 50
Almost shocking not to see Drew Thorpe on the list. It must be a tools driven list, rather than performance.

Vaughn has sprained finger
If his thumb were sprained, we'd all know how he did it.

June 2nd Chicago White Sox @ Milwaukee Brewers GDT
Time to bring up Mason Adams and Hoopii, "the throwin' samoan". Please don't start. I know he's from Hawaii.

Poll: longest losing streak this season
Why not just make 10 louder? Maybe the funniest thing Rob Reiner ever said.

Schriffen says he was aiming at “Sportscasters”
Schriffen is young and in over his head a bit. But his 1st big job is for the worst team in baseball having an historically bad season. I'll give him a pass. Would have loved to seen Harry and Jimmy Piersall call this season. Some legendary s@#t could have come out of that.

6/2 Games
6th round pick. Thats high enough where he might surprise. Keep a good thought.

Vaughn has sprained finger
The way he plays makes me wish he was.

Under what scenario would you consider offering Crochet and/or Kopech extensions?
I understand your doubts about the next few seasons. I honestly think you are mistaken. No player can change a teams fortunes like a great starting pitcher. The Sox actually have 3-4 guys who could end up being the best pitcher on almost any team. Crochet, Schultz, Grant Taylor and maybe Drew Thorpe. Every one of these guys is either MLB ready or could be in one year or less. Watch Grant Taylor closely the rest of this season. He would have been a top 3 pick in the draft except for TJS. It appears he is now healthy and didn't lose a thing due to the surgery. I know we are the worst organization in baseball, but I am cautiously optimistic about about the second half of 2025 and beyond. Keep in mind we have another 5-6 very good starting pitcher prospects behind these other 4.

June 1 game thread Sox @Milwaukee 3:10 first pitch
I know if Earl Weaver was the manager of this team we would have maybe 20 wins. We truly are this bad. But doesn't someone have to pay for this hell hole? I suppose it's too early to fire Getz even though they should. That leaves Pedro right in the crosshairs. It won't change a damn thing, but it's time.

Hate is a strong word.......totally appropiate, but strong.

The Death March Moves to Milwaukee: 5/31 Sox @ Brew Crew 7:10 CDT
I'm gonna play the contrarian today. The Sox will start playing competitive baseball sometime next season. I know it sounds like i've been day drinking again, but I haven't. My enthusiasm is based on our starting pitching prospects. Schultz, Thorpe, Eder, Grant Taylor, Iriarte and a few others added to Garrett Crochet. The Sox have at least 3-4 guys who could end up being a true #1 starter very soon. Maybe no other organization can say this. With Korey Lee catching the bulk of games, Robert in CF(fingers crossed) and Montgomery, Ramos and Gonzalez added to the infield it could happen by All star break 2025. 2026 could be a special year.

Check on the pitchers in the minor leagues after each blowout in the majors. It helps mark the time.

Guess Trade Values of Sox Starters
What I'd like to see is Crochet, then Thorpe followed by Noah Schultz in our rotation. I'd like to see it next year. Sure, we're not gonna score too much. The other teams won't either.
