  1. That was hysterical. I leave the room thinking that the kick is somewhat of an afterthought and the J-E-T-S choke yet one more damn time.
  2. I think the gay bomb could backfire, though. I mean, what if they formed couples? Imagine hordes of well-dressed, extremely fit and highly tactically trained in armed tactics couples roaming the countryside willing to die for each other, deeply in love and mocking bad shoes and interior decorating everywhere. Plus, lets say that a gay bomb worked -- what would happen if it went off accidentally and hit US soldiers? Its my understanding that the Army could never find out with the Don't Ask Don't Tell policy in place. And that begs the question:if a gay bomb went off in a US area with the military and nobody found out -- did it really make them gay?
  3. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/4174519.stm The US military investigated building a "gay bomb", which would make enemy soldiers "sexually irresistible" to each other, government papers say. Other weapons that never saw the light of day include one to make soldiers obvious by their bad breath and a weapon to simulate enemy flatulence. --A gay bomb? A...gay...bomb?

  6. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 10:28 PM) Oh, like a firefighter placing a nativity scene in front of the firehouse? Or some kids singing Christmas carols in class? God forbid some jewish guy or muslim drives by and sees it or its lawsuit time. Rediculous. That provision was intended to keep the government from establishing a national religion such as was done in Europe in those times and it's now being used by the ACLU to stamp out any celebration of Christmas. You'll never hear about them suing to stop Jews or Muslims from displaying their religous icons in public places though. You conviently forget that the same part of the Constitution provides for the free expression of one's religion, a fact which you convieniently choose to overlook. More hypocrasy. Nuke -- its just the Christian ones that get the most press from the puppy dog media that knows that controversy sells more papers, gets more people tuned in. And Nuke, if you're worried about hypocricy, how about the Republicans lowering the ethics standards now that Delay could get the hammer dropped and be eligible to be punished by them.
  7. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 06:54 PM) I agree with you on 1/3rd of your argument. Point 1. Progressives don't believe in liberty. How do you explain Political Correctness (I.E. thought control ) ? How do you explain social engineering? How do you explain their line of thought that suggests government can run peoples lives better than people can? Point 2. Equality? I wholeheartedly agree with you on that one. They wont be done trying to re-distribute people's wealth until the squeege guy has the same amount as Bill Gates does. The problem with that is that it was tried once.......in the Soviet Union, and what happened was that everyone was equal alright.........equally miserable. Unless you happened to be in the top circles of government that is. Point 3. How on earth can you say that they believe in responsibility when they are of the opinion that people cannot be trusted to run their own lives? How can you say they believe in responsibility when they want the government to micromanage even the most minute aspects of people's life from cradle to grave? Much of the same could be said about modern "conservatives" in power -- the state knows better than gays to let them get married, have equal rights etc. The state knows better for education via NCLB. The state hates welfare for the poor but has no problem subsidizing the already rich... The f***ing up of America is a bi-partisan effort.
  8. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 06:21 PM) Funny but I kept hearing them say "It's time to do something about Iraq". Well someone did something and here they are with their 20-20 hindsight calling Bush a liar and a war monger when they held the same position he did. It's not flexibility, it's hypocrasy. Asking to have Bush come out and say "We messed up" instead of the whole "God told me to go after Iraq and Al Qaeda" and not admitting to ever making a mistake. And just because 2 Democrats did that does not mean that the whole actual anti-war movement is not discredited. There have been plenty of people in Congress saying that the decision for the war was insanity, illegal and un-Constitutional and they could really be saying "I told you so." right now if they truly wanted to do so.
  9. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 06:12 PM) That's funny because there were 2 American's who were pretty vocal about us doing something about the threat Iraq posed. They too saw the evidence the CIA had accumulated and even went on television a number of times warning us about the "grave threat" they posed. Their names.... John Kerry and Al Gore Funny how quickly their opinions changed when it was politically convienent for them. Kerry and Gore were simply part of the War Party -- a party of pro-interventionalist f***ers that I have no part of. These people are the same equivalent of the Bush admin. elites Cheney and Bush Sr. were two of the major anti-occupation promoters during '92 and changed when it became expedient for the pocketbooks. Its a false misnomer to lump Kerry and Gore into the anti-war camp. There were also Republicans that have been against the foreign wars waged by Bush like Ron Paul.
  10. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 05:45 PM) Define regressive. If it's regressive to live in a society where people are not coddled by government from birth to death & not a place where the government practices wholesale social engineering on it's entire society then I'm all for being regressive. "Progressivism" is nothing more than a euphamisim for handing over control of your life to government. It frowns on individual freedom because "progressives" think they can run your life better than you can run it yourself. It's all fine and dandy as long as you conform. If "progressives" ever got any serious control then American Society would turn into one similar to the pussy whipped, piss ant bunch of cheesedicks that you saw in the movie "Demolition Man". "A bunch of 47 year old virgins sitting around in their underwear singing "I'm an Oscar Meyer Wiener" f*** that. http://www.fff.org/comment/com0501d.asp And Nuke -- with the military industrial complex being in place with massive amounts of corporate welfare and bailouts, how is that "personal responsibility"? Or the current "Its not our fault that the intel was so bad so we didn't make a mistake" line from the Bushistas -- why not take "personal responsibility" and say "We f***ed up!" "And how can the rightist trumpet his devotion to private property and free enterprise while at the same time favoring war, conscription and the outlawing of noninvasive activities and practices that he deems immoral? And how can the rightist favor a free market while seeing nothing amiss in the vast subsidies, distortions and unproductive inefficiencies involved in the military industrial complex?" -- Murray Rothbard
  11. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 05:31 PM) How long's it gonna be before the conspiracy machine gets cranked up and starts saying the U.S. somehow caused this disaster just to line the pockets of U.S. corporations who handle that sort of thing. Lower Case.......you wanna kick that off for us? :rolly There's a difference between a natural disaster and a march to war that started with lies, deception, intelligence from 2 spies (Israel and Iran) in order to garner political and economic capital for neo-conservatives is power.
  12. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 01:02 AM) Don King seeking "justice". Oh, the irony. And in suing ESPN (Eastern Seaboard Promotional Network) no less.
  13. QUOTE(SoxFan562004 @ Jan 12, 2005 -> 08:18 PM) I think the only reason she got the show is because her Dad/manager leveraged the "Newlyweds" show with Jessica to get it for her. He basically said, if you want "newlyweds" again, you have to give Ashlee a show.... and then all the "angst" ridden teenagers bought the prepackaged Ashlee hook line and sinker Of course. It says something when Warren Zevon gets struck with mesothelioma and Ashlee Simpson gets a huge record contract and TV show. They should have a video of Jessica and Ashlee getting it on and play that on MTv. Maybe that'd be a video of theirs that I'd finally sit down and watch.
  14. QUOTE(The Critic @ Jan 12, 2005 -> 02:07 PM) for the Hicks quote!!! Just watched the DVD the other night - it gets a bit repetitive, since some bits are used in all 3 performances, but that DVD really does reinforce how great he was, AND how crowds really didn't get him at the time. There was a lot of uncomfortable murmuring and silence, especially during the religious stuff. Bill Hicks rocks hardcore. I've been watching some of the DVD (still gotta watch the documentary) but his sets were hilarious. I still lose it all the time when he starts talking about the commercials the advertising companies wish they could do. I can only imagine what he'd say about Ashlee Simpson.
  15. Lou Gehrig is smiling because he got daily rim jobs from the girls at Scores.
  16. You're Vietnam! After years of muddling through on your own, you've finally repaired yourself to a point of respectability. You would have been much better off had people you didn't like not kept insisting on spending so much time with you. But those times are fading quickly and these days you're pretty sure you won't get burned. Star power!
  17. QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Jan 12, 2005 -> 01:09 PM) Absolutely disgusting. Basically if you're a "radical" you're a wackjob Essentially. Fundamentalists of every religion f*** it up for the sane, rational people who are not intolerant hardliners. And SS2K4, you're supposed to keep the homosexuals' ability to control the weather secret.
  18. QUOTE(The Critic @ Jan 12, 2005 -> 01:06 PM) Wholesome family entertainment...... :puke But Critic, they're good role models for kids! Bill Hicks: "When did banality and mediocrity become a good role model for kids? I want people to listen to musicians who played from their f***ing heart! I don't care if they died in a puddle of their own blood and vomit.
  19. QUOTE(mreye @ Jan 12, 2005 -> 11:21 AM) There's a lot of questions that need to be answered. The validity of our intelligence. Why Saddam would go to the brink of war, and ultimately war for a weapons system the he "never" had. It's a big mess that I don't think we'll ever get all the answers to. MrEye, one of the leading guys that gave us a lot of intel from the "dissident" group in Iraq that we used to justify the war (especially Ahmed Chalabi who spearheaded all of it) were linked to an Iranian spy organization (http://www.guardian.co.uk/Iraq/Story/0,2763,1224916,00.html) (http://archive.salon.com/opinion/blumenthal/2004/05/27/chalabi/index_np.html) I'm sure Iran has a vested interest in seeing us f*** up Iraq. Then when you add in the Israeli spy link that got found in the Pentagon (http://antiwar.com/justin/?articleid=4178), there's another country's interest in getting us into a war. Plus, when you add in that all the major player policy makers in the executive branch have been advocating the removal of Hussein since the mid 1990s for the purpose of controlling oil resources in region. So, they'd be overzealous to have that as an excuse to do what they want. And if we're getting on board about flouting the UN, http://www.jatonyc.org/UNresolutions.html -- from Jews Against the Occupation that discusses plenty of UN resolutions that Israel has rejected/hasn't honored. In doing research for my paper on the 1967 war aftermath, I found tons of stories of IDF soldiers that forcibly expelled people from their homes for no reason except Ben-Gurion didn't want Arabs in Israel, beatings, etc. If the US is going to put on the hat of "world policeman", they could begin this one by stopping the billions in aid to Israel.
  20. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jan 9, 2005 -> 04:01 PM) I'm cheering for a team from a small town called "I dont give a flying f***". That being said I wish the Bears could loan the Pack Charles Tillman for one game just to ensure that cocky cock sucker gets shut down and cant talk s***. Nuke, I think the appropriate answer for who a Bears fan roots for in a Vikings/Packers game is this: Al Qaeda.
  21. I gotta root for the Pack in this because at least their team has classy players.
  22. Nelly - Heart of a Champion...It's my friend's new favorite song and it is just so damn bad. :puke :puke
  23. QUOTE(blacksaturdayrevisted @ Jan 9, 2005 -> 02:07 PM) For the record, I never complained once about having to remove the quote in question from my sig. I did complain about the removal of posts, because other threads have been lock and left to die before and I didn't think the thread in question needed to be deleted. I then complained about there only being 2 mods around here that are worth anything. I won't appologize for offending anyone's sexuality when this site promotes the explotation of women's bodies. As for the "disrespecting moderators decisions" how is it ok to call in question George W. Bush's actions which actually have global and real effect on our lives, but it's not ok for me to call in question the actions of moderators on some meaningless website? In the end, I'm sorry for the chaos I've caused, only because I know a few individuals who I actually respect here will have to take some flack because of my actions. I'm sorry guys. Anyway, hope y'all have a great time without me. I'm not really that mad about any of this and I won't say I'll never come back or any of that stuff. I like this site and it's got some great things to offer, but I don't like a handful of people and I won't appologize for that. So keep posting on Soxtalk and Go White Sox. That's all I have to say. You complained when you called the admins/mods "Big Brother". You complained when you called us "f***ing fascists". And for somebody so Christian, how exactly do you rationalize baseless attacks and hatred of a person for no reason? You got called out on something you knew was wrong and whined about it.
