I watched CNN for a while. When they turned Ohio green, I turned to my friend: "You know that there are a ton of people outside watching through the windows with no audio. They are probably saying 'How the f*** did Cobb and the Greens win Ohio?' right now."

Attorney General John Ashcroft 'plans to submit his resignation to Bush in the next several days'... From the Drudge Report so take it with a grain of salt but it is very interesting if true.

There is a difference between "Christians" and followers of Christ. The Christian Right has trademarked the word Christian.

http://www.amconmag.com/2004_10_25/feature.html It's a long article (written before the election obviously) but it is really an interesting read about the roots of terrorism and what is going on.

Jas, why so pissed at the Governator?
-
Jas -- and we all know Bush is the paragon of telling the truth. I mean look at his distortions during the debate, not even taking into account the past 4 years.

People vote with their Bible and wallets instead of their brains.

Probably the interpretation of the Nov. 1 OBL video in which a neo-conservative organization selectively translated a word the wrong way. http://www.antiwar.com/cole/?articleid=3898

Yeah compared to big corporations buying both our candidates. Let's face it, this election was a throw of the loaded dice because the War Party wins no matter which wing of it gets into power.

In several swing states, and EVERY STATE that has E-Voting but no paper trails has an unexplained advantage for Bush of around +5% when comparing exit polls to actual results. In EVERY STATE that has paper audit trails on their E-Voting, the exit poll results match the actual results reported within the margin of error. So we have MATCHING RESULTS for exit polls vs. voting with audits vs. A 5% unexplained advantage for Bush without audits.

With all this tension, let us take a moment to laugh at Obama winning 81% to 17% over Keyes.

I wonder what the voter turnout will be. It looks like it could shatter previous records...just a guess by moi.

Yahoo Elections coverage is giving NJ to Kerry already. 39-18 according to them.

f*** that, asshole Military families and officers are now saying that US soldiers in Iraq are being forced to use Vietnam era M-16s, limited ammunition and that their families are being forced to purchase sporting goods store walkie talkies for them because they have a shortage of military walkie talkies and (obviously) communication is necessary) The link to the story was posted by me in a thread yesterday. I am stymied how the military can still vote Bush after sending them into a war zone with outdated helicopters, un-armored Humvees, limited body armor and these new developments about walkie talkies etc. all the while cutting veterans' benefits, increasing co-pays at veterans' hospitals and denying National Guardsmen/reservists full medical yet sending them out to put their ass on the line in the front. But hey, Halliburton is making billions in yummy no compete contracts so it was worth it, right?...and also McCain and Ron Paul are two of the biggest outspoken critics about this underfunding bulls*** by the Bushies and they are Republicans.

I heard that some polling place in NJ was closed for 2 hours because somebody ran in and threw a white powder everywhere and they had to call in a HAZMAT team. This is so insane.
-
I voted my conscience and went with Badnarik since this state is going to Kerry anyway. So, the only way I'll feel sick is if Bush gets another 4 years.
-
Yeah there is gonna be plenty of shenanigans from both sides...leading to the only possible conclusion -- a Badnarik presidency! Thanks...I'm gonna need it, haha. 7 pages of letter to Elia Kazan to convince him not to name names to HUAC. 20 pages about the experience of Palestinian refugees during the 1967 war. 5-7 pages of 1st person narrative about immigrating to the US based on my interview with an immigrant. 25 pages of it is interesting writing...but the Kazan paper is just boring busywork.

SS2K4, there will be a few dead people voting for Kerry to equal it out. I'll be watching the Daily Show's "Prelude to a Recount" and probably just be checking the updates over the net since I have to hammer out 32 pages of papers for this week.
