  1. Keuchel gonna show them youngins how to win big games tonight. As long as everyone else on the team does exactly what he wants/expects.
  2. I don’t think the MRI revealed anything crazy. He also didn’t have a sudden injury and have to get carried off the field. I’m guessing they are being ultra conservative with this. If he comes back and re-aggravates it, he’d be out of the playoffs with only a few regular season weeks left. Playoffs without TA would be the worst. I know you’re thinking the same, and that’s causing your unsettling feeling.
  3. Rodon’s shoulder was a ticking time bomb. We just have to pray more rest is the remedy to get him a few healthy postseason starts.
  4. In Leury’s defense, Leury’s defense.
  5. Ah, he’s three and was already screaming “Fucking Dallas Keuchel!” on Friday, watching the game at home. With him starting “preschool” this week, it’s probably a great time to his expand his vocabulary a little more.
  6. I don’t think you play games like that with Crochet at this point in the season. Also opens up a massive hole in the bullpen. If they want innings covered, Lopez is their guy while he is also doubling as an elite reliever. Ruiz is necessary as he’s been pretty successful at whatever is asked of him all season. Not really sure how anyone in the organization can look at Wright and think he’s necessary for anything. Who knows if he can even cover innings right now. I don’t see how he’s not the obvious choice, despite their recent decisions regarding him.
  7. So is sitting behind the White Sox bullpen with a young child a bad idea, being right next to the bleachers?
  8. I recall reading a recent article about Heuer where he talked about how he was impressed with the technology that Cubs had for pitchers, as if it was a vast difference to what was available with the Sox. I wonder if Kimbrel is going through an adjustment not having the same type of resources available to him right now. Possibly something that helped him with his turnaround this season.
  9. I'd switch Moncada and Robert, but when everyone is healthy, you really can't go wrong. If Engel is back, we will have an entire lineup of roughly .800 OPS hitters.
  10. The season is 162 games for a reason. Not everything that happens is an indication of what will happen in the playoffs. There is a lot more to be positive about than negative. This team will get on a roll at full force soon, and the rest of the league will be terrified.
  11. It does not sound like anything to be worried about.
  12. I am very confident this is one of those things that will just work itself out over time/general improvement. Hopefully sooner than later, but no reason to believe he can’t lead the team with RISP and two outs in the playoffs.
  13. Why is everyone so angry?
  14. Got it. Thank you. They are now reporting it was clean. Thank God.
  15. He still hasn't had an MRI then?
  16. I am so pumped for Grandal's return. I feel very confident with him at the plate in big situations.
  17. Cease looks built to go 200 innings more than any other starter on the staff. His velocity and spin rate are always there and it always look effortless. All other starters have shown visible signs of fatigue in various starts/stretches throughout the year.
  18. It’s okay, I plan to remain faded even later than that.
  19. How late was Moncada out last night?
  20. Sunday Night Baseball tonight or I’m sure it would have been a day game.
  21. Lamb and Sheets are redundant. We shall see.
