  1. I don't believe it would at all. rebuilding teams want to save money too. A way to get them to stop tanking is to force them to spend money... ie, cap floor
  2. I try my best. It is all for you. LET THE REVOLUTION BEGIN
  3. Teams tanking isn't about getting a high pick, as much as it is saving money.. I don't believe it will change things. A salary cap ceiling AND floor would be the best way to level the playing field and force teams to "try"
  4. So on an unweighted system, a team that misses the playoffs by 1 game and wins 90 games that year, can get the #1 pick? Yeah, that seems horrible. lol I think a better way to limit tanking is to impose a salary cap AND floor. We are the only sport to not have one. It will cap the top teams from spending ungodly amounts (Yankees/RedSox) and force teams to spend money on talent (Pirates) While times are weird let's implement a Cap Floor! Can I get an amen @ptac
  5. You are my favorite now.
  6. It 100% does not destroy it.... You still have way better odds of getting the top pick if you are a low team.. It changes nothing but gives better teams a chance to get a better pick.
  7. So let's let more teams in the playoffs so more will be "buyers" or try.. Logically, that will happen
  8. The point is... our sport is dying... Expanding the playoffs may get some new fans (think upsets).. We already have the best playoffs in all of sports, with walk offs, and upsets... Maybe it's time to expand it. Once again... Our sport is dying.
  9. So they expand it to 16 teams and you just quit watching a sport you love cold turkey? Cool flex, bro.
  10. Isn't 60% of the league currently shit teams? lol
  11. Do you like March Madness? I used to hate the idea of expanding playoffs.. But our sport is dying, and after thinking about it, if having a bunch of teams turns into a wild playoff (think March Madness) where a 16 seed makes it to the final 4... Imagine how exciting. That could actually be the thing to draw new fans in, at least for that month.
  12. It'll be like March Madness. WHITE SOX will be the low seed- and goes far team. Calling it now
  13. DON'T YOU PUT THAT EVIL IN HERE
  14. If we opened tomorrow or opened in 1 year, the number will rise... Let's start and try getting the world back to normal.
  15. No, regardless which side your on (if you want to be open or closed) that should infuriate you. That's everything this country does and argues over now is so fucking political. Not a right/wrong.
  16. I'd be willing to take that bet lol
  17. Eloy has to only play OF 2 more years... It'll all be fine
  18. This whole COVID situation has become a political statement. At one point 26 states were opening and 24 were remaining closed (numbers may not be exact).. Well it turns out all 26 states were republican, all 24 for democrat.... The whole thing is political.
  19. Agreed. Anyone not loving this draft is insane. And I don't even love Crochet..
  20. Wrong. Not Steve Ciscek is the best in the business
  21. I don't remember anyone saying we had too much pitching.. Pitching was always our weaker spot in the minors. I remember people wanting to trade OF though
