Zack Wheeler: To the Phils (5yr 118); Sox had made BIGGER offer
Yeah, Bukaky is their Rutherford. High prospect who produced nothing. Martin looked bad in the majors. Beer though I love.

I want nothing to do with Bumgarner.

Zack Wheeler: To the Phils (5yr 118); Sox had made BIGGER offer
I don't think we are discussing 74 million dollar deals.. We are talking large, 100+ million.. If we refuse to take risks there we will never amount to anything,

Zack Wheeler: To the Phils (5yr 118); Sox had made BIGGER offer
Almost none.

Zack Wheeler: To the Phils (5yr 118); Sox had made BIGGER offer
Personally I do think Kopech will be a very very good pitcher.. But I would love to ease that pressure.

Zack Wheeler: To the Phils (5yr 118); Sox had made BIGGER offer
We are discussing passing at 5 years 100-110. No excuse

Zack Wheeler: To the Phils (5yr 118); Sox had made BIGGER offer
I don't think anyone here will be mad if we pass at those numbers.. He's proven to be a #2 pitcher. There's potential for more. Not seeing that is asinine

Zack Wheeler: To the Phils (5yr 118); Sox had made BIGGER offer
meh.. Sure Ryu is the better pitcher when healthy... Sadly he's never healthy. He has worse injury history than wheeler lol. I'll take the potential and better health of wheeler

This is pretty much where I stand

Zack Wheeler: To the Phils (5yr 118); Sox had made BIGGER offer
I would be fine passing at 6 years.. But almost anything in the 5 year range would be bitter if we don't beat the offer.

What Cole thing?

Zack Wheeler: To the Phils (5yr 118); Sox had made BIGGER offer
I think the second would be a one year deal UNLESS a guy like Ryu falls too cheaply to pass on (3 years for 45)

Joc Pederson - Is it goin down?
Because we all remember Dunn and Larouch... BUT apart from them I can't specifically think of anyone else.
-
Joc Pederson - Is it goin down?
I believe he is in the same tier as a Marcel Osuna. 4 year-50 million? Does that sound resonable for Joc?
-
Joc Pederson - Is it goin down?
He just mashes RH pitching though.. And what percentage of pitching is RH? 70%?
-
Joc Pederson - Is it goin down?

Sox Non-Tender Yolmer, Frare, Burr, Release Veiera
Almost all of those names would be interesting to add. There's a lot I like there. Franco (RH DH platoon with Collins, when Abreu is at 1B), Treinen RP, Hernandez or Peraza as our stop gap 2B while we wait for Madrigal, Pillar or Santana as a RF cheap option, Taijuan Walker for our SP2. I love this non-tender list more than any year prior that I can remember

Jonathan Villar traded to the Marlins
I BELIEVE it starts with the same division worst record to best then goes to the other division. So it appears the entire AL passed on Villar. I could be mistaken.

I would hate that Marco trade... People forget Dunning was a top 70 prospect and rising before he had his TJ.. I don't think we should value him much less than that now. Let's see what he brings and not trade him for Marco Gonzalez.
