Sox have been shut out twice in a row against last place teams and have been shut out four times in the last 10 games.

Good for you. Go watch the Braves. See how great their fortune is. They were supposed to be competing next year. The Rockies have been in perpetual rebuild mode for years.

My issue is this team has sucked for the better part of 8 seasons with the exception of the first half of 2012. Hahn can't build a team around this core. His FA signings suck. I never hated his trades but they haven't all worked out that great. Eaton was a really good one. Avi sucks but the other guys in the peavy trade helped acquire Lawrie. It's just not working with this core. I'd much rather watch young talented prospects knowing we have a solid future. The cupboard isn't bare and we could clean up moving Sale and Q alone. Do I trust Hahn to rebuild this team again? Not really but this FO isn't put on notice and this organization is loyal to a fault. I'd just rather blow this up then trade Fulmer and Adams for a decent bat. Our farm is lacking and trading them will only make matters worse. Time for something new. Rebuild and rip apart the coaching staff.

I've called this team fools gold and was mocked for it. That's what they are. But they'll flutter around .500 and this team will tinker and make some moves and they'll still fall short.

Yeah that's been obvious for quite a while now. Just hate the lack of direction the team has.

If the Sox tank these next 2 weeks, do you think they put Quintana on the market? I bet we could get a haul from the Rangers or Red Sox.

 

Not the Red Sox. Maybe in the offseason if they don't get into postseason. But they are not trading one of their young studs ( Betts or Bradley) when they are in the drivers seat for the playoffs. You must get at least one MLB young stud if you trade Q

 

This team is comprised of low obp guys and now have no power outside of frazier. Until they realize this and that abreu is a terrible defensive player this is what we get.
