July 30th Game Thread - White Sox at Twins

Featured Replies

Tough to win any games, even with our best pitchers, when the Sox can only score 1 run per game like they have for the previous 3 games in a row! Sox need to STEP UP and start scoring some runs!

Unusual for a Saturday nite, tonite's game is televised on 'my 50 Chicago' WPWR-TV, not WGN-TV.

Miguel Gonzalez (2-5, 4.28) vs. Tommy Milone (3-3, 4.97)

Garbage lineup.

No Eaton or Frazier.

Eaton took one off the foot last night.

That's an impressive lineup

This lineup is the reason you might as well sell this year.

The regular starting lineup is why you sell.

Hahn must be so proud of the depth he has built over his tenure as GM.

What the f*** could possibly compel Robin to bat Avi 5th?!

wRC+ for our lineup tonight:

76

84

116

96

75

88

58

-21

54

Looks like an average between 60 & 70. Wow is that bad.

Was going to say. I was a little worried we might do good against Cubs and then sweep twins causing possibly no trades but the way they've lost the last 3 and possibly today, I don't think I have to worry.

That is precisely the "silver lining" here. Not only are we headed for another top draft pick, but this should also help the front office to decide to trade some of their coveted players. This is way more preferable than deciding to go for it again. Be grateful.

I would trade Avi Garcia or Dioner Navarro for a couple of uncut throwback jerseys and a couple boxes of balls.

I like Tyler. I keep thinking I'm fooling myself liking Tyler, but he continues to be a surprise.

A soft tossing lefty is usually Avi's style.

What is Avi even swinging at?

As someone posted on Twitter... Avi is here to remind you not to get excited over getting prospects at the trade deadline

Avi sucks and to have hI'm bat before moreanu just proves it.

This poorly constructed roster is embarassing

Fire them all

I guess Abreu was trying to go to right. You never know what Avi is doing

It seriously looks like it's 900 ft out to center field.

Although to be fair, only ONE publication ranked him in the top 100 at any point, and that was BA and he was #74. Every package for Sale/Q that has been discussed is involving players MUCH more highly regarded and agreed upon by multiple outlets. I get your point, but Avi wasn't a slam dunk prospect.

Avi can't even field a ball that softly bounces to him off the wall....stay hot, you unyielding piece of sewer trash.

Hawk just said something I genuinely agree with. The Sox can deal with the Cubs. Just has to be the right deal. Well said, Hawk.

Anderson getting close to being 0.0 fWAR. He's really fallen off a cliff since the ASB.

Holy Moly. I just looked at the lineup.

Hawk just said on the broadcast that the Rangers are trying to get Sale AND Quintana?? Huh? No way they would want to trade their entire farm for both...I mean, it would have to be like....

Odor, Gallo, Mazara, Tate, Brinson, Ortiz, Ibanez, and Cordell? I mean, that's never going to happen.
