November 17, 20169 yr Astros loading up...definitely looks like the owners approved that up in payroll request
November 17, 20169 yr QUOTE (Username @ Nov 17, 2016 -> 04:59 PM) So...where does Bregman play? Maybe Gurriel to First, but still. What does that have to do with Reddick? If you are insinuating that the Astros may use him as a trade piece for Sale, I agree
November 17, 20169 yr QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Nov 18, 2016 -> 12:34 AM) I would have guessed closer to 100 million than 50 million for him. He looked awful with the Dodgers. Looked way skinnier and no bat speed
November 17, 20169 yr QUOTE (Username @ Nov 17, 2016 -> 10:59 PM) So...where does Bregman play? Maybe Gurriel to First, but still. He will play 3b and Yuli at 1B
November 17, 20169 yr QUOTE (fathom @ Nov 17, 2016 -> 03:35 PM) He looked awful with the Dodgers. Looked way skinnier and no bat speed You don't just produce like he did for the first half with Oakland and stink. You have injuries / other things.
November 17, 20169 yr I hear Reddick's name, I think very good player. Then I watch him play and see his stats, and think maybe not. He was a dreadful pickup for the Dodgers
November 17, 20169 yr QUOTE (Dunt @ Nov 17, 2016 -> 05:35 PM) It must be awesome to have a competent front office yup. They were bad bad bad. They had a game that got a zero rating. They haven't won anything, but there's a lot to be excited about in Houston.
November 18, 20169 yr QUOTE (Dunt @ Nov 17, 2016 -> 05:35 PM) It must be awesome to have a competent front office Missed badly on Bryant and Rodon but have some nice hits as well.
November 18, 20169 yr QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Nov 17, 2016 -> 05:01 PM) Hero worshipping. He's elite. Pricey for a platoon hitter but the Astros are almost there. Edited November 18, 20169 yr by GreenSox

November 18, 20169 yr QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Nov 18, 2016 -> 06:52 AM) This a joke? Obviously - the first part anyway.
November 18, 20169 yr Sooo assuming Springer and Reddick hold down the corners and McCann and Gattis share DH and Gurriel being paid to likely play third with other options able to play 1B, where does Bregman fit? They should really step on the necks of the AL West and trade for Sale.

They should really step on the necks of the AL West and trade for Sale. I doubt it. But it sure would be nice. If the Sox could score Bergman, I'd move Frazier and hold there. Push Melky and Robertson and Jones in July. But I'm an advocate of the partial tear down. Edited November 18, 20169 yr by GreenSox
November 18, 20169 yr In 104 AB vs. LHP, Reddick hit .155 with no extra base hits. He's happy the league is mostly right handed.

November 18, 20169 yr QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Nov 18, 2016 -> 07:45 AM) Aren't you the one that was advocating selling everyone including the hero Adam Eaton months ago? Nope. I advocated trading Eaton last winter to fill 2 holes. That's still a possible approach. I've never favored the Hahn proven veteran approach, however. So if the choice is Hahn ball or tear down I would favor complete tear down, because Hahn ball is a failure. Bregman is my favorite of all of these top prospect already in the majors possible, although unlikely, targets. Edited November 18, 20169 yr by GreenSox
