Is Yohander Mendez, Andy Ibanez, Leoddy Taveras, + enough? I guess it depends what offers are/aren't out there, but I think I'd rather just wait until deadline if something like this is really the best offer.

I think this is good news considering it only puts the pressure on the teams out there that have been lurking and posturing the past couple months. The way to play it is to be quiet for a while and have teams comfortable and then out of nowhere have them scrambling a bit thinking its possible you may be getting close with another team.

No. If Profar is part of the deal, it better be the last piece. Dude has less control than Q. Makes no sense.

I think if you accept a deal for Mazara, it would only come with 2 other pieces. Not saying that I'm against that but just throwing it out there.

I really dont think Texas is a match. This is a time that it truly seems like a posturing move by the Sox.

Worth noting that Mazara has 1.0 full year of service (seems silly the Rangers didn't wait an extra week). So he would only have 5 years on control, 2 of which would likely be blown on s***ty teams. By the time the Sox may be good again (2019), he'll be getting expensive.

If the Sox want Mazara (if there is any truth to this rumor), I wonder if the Sox could package Melky along with some money with Quintana so the Rangers at least have a stop gap in the outfield for a year.
