March 28, 20179 yr Chris CotilloVerified account @ChrisCotillo 2m2 minutes ago More AJ Pierzynski's career has come to a close. @FOXSports announces they've hired him as a full-time analyst.
March 28, 20179 yr QUOTE (Kalapse @ Mar 28, 2017 -> 10:34 AM) FOX should put him in the booth immediately, he's going to be a great color man. Agreed. If I were the Sox, I'd try to hire him.
March 28, 20179 yr Good career. Definitely made his mark in Sox history. He'll do great as a network analyst.
March 28, 20179 yr Ken RosenthalVerified account @Ken_Rosenthal Ken Rosenthal Retweeted FOX Sports: MLB A.J.’s first broadcast on @FS1 will be #Yankees at #Rays with Kenny Albert one week from tomorrow. I’ll be field reporter for that game.
March 28, 20179 yr QUOTE (Kalapse @ Mar 28, 2017 -> 12:34 PM) FOX should put him in the booth immediately, he's going to be a great color man. I will be honest, AJ is who I wanted to succeed Hawk. He is a great personality and a great insight to the game.
March 28, 20179 yr QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 28, 2017 -> 12:44 PM) Agreed. If I were the Sox, I'd try to hire him. Maybe they will, but I imagine they would wait until Hawk is gone. I don't think the two of them would mesh very well.
March 28, 20179 yr QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 28, 2017 -> 01:49 PM) Maybe they will, but I imagine they would wait until Hawk is gone. I don't think the two of them would mesh very well. Hawk loves AJ, he'd probably bring some life to Hawk if they teamed up for a little while. Edited March 28, 20179 yr by Rowand44
March 28, 20179 yr QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 28, 2017 -> 01:51 PM) Hawk loves AJ, he'd probably bring some life to Hawk if they teamed up for a little while. It'd be unbearable, the entire broadcast would just be Hawk gushing over AJ and what an incredible player he was.
March 28, 20179 yr QUOTE (Kalapse @ Mar 28, 2017 -> 01:52 PM) It'd be unbearable, the entire broadcast would just be Hawk gushing over AJ and what an incredible player he was. Ha fair point.
March 28, 20179 yr QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 28, 2017 -> 01:51 PM) Hawk loves AJ, he'd probably bring some life to Hawk if they teamed up for a little while. True, but for some reason I see AJ calling him out on his bulls***
March 28, 20179 yr QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 28, 2017 -> 01:51 PM) Hawk loves AJ, he'd probably bring some life to Hawk if they teamed up for a little while. Totally.
March 28, 20179 yr I'd be interested in bringing him back in some capacity with the orignization. Whether that be as an announcer, as minor league coach, as a bench coach, etc. If it weren't for Ventura failing I'd really even be beating the drum for him as a chance as a future manager. But I think it'd be smart to let him learn the trade over a few years first. I think he'll thrive in his role with Fox though, should be interesting.

He doesn't have the "personality" for it.
March 28, 20179 yr QUOTE (ptatc @ Mar 28, 2017 -> 02:57 PM) He will not be a coach/manager. He doesn't have the "personality" for it. TV is the perfect retirement venue for AJ.
March 28, 20179 yr QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 28, 2017 -> 03:00 PM) TV is the perfect retirement venue for AJ. Yes. He'll be good at it.
March 28, 20179 yr Chad Eberhardt @chad_eberhardt 3h3 hours ago @ChrisCotillo @FOXSports leaves Neal Cotts and Brandon McCarthy as the last players remaining from '05 WS Champs. (Uribe still a FA)
March 28, 20179 yr I can't load BBallRef on my phone but I'm sure I went to his last game at Turner Field.
April 1, 20179 yr Anybody hear AJ on The SCORE the other day? Excellent interview. Hope this works. download.podcast.play.it/media/d0/d0/d1/dE/dH/dN/d9/1EHN9_3.MP3?show=Interviews+on+670+The+Score&category=Sports+%26+Recreation&callsign=WSCRAM&market=Chicago&awCollectionId=787&awEpisodeId=759290
April 1, 20179 yr QUOTE (Jake @ Mar 28, 2017 -> 10:31 PM) Benetti/AJP? I'm down. Never going to happen. Stoney is too good of an analyst. It's possible down the line, I suppose, but not for a number of years.
April 2, 20179 yr QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 28, 2017 -> 03:00 PM) TV is the perfect retirement venue for AJ. 2nd best. I'd like to see him uncensored.
