5/7 at Orioles

Well like the Billy Preston song said, "nothing from nothing leaves nothing..."

0-7 with runners in scoring position generally doesn't bode well.

Even when the Sox are good they just can't get it done in Baltimore.

At least they are home for a few games before heading out on another long road trip.

They can really use the day off Monday it looks like.

Q with 5 of the 15 losses. I would not of guessed that a month ago.

Shutout in 3 of the losses. Scored 1 in one of them and 3 in the other. H hasn't been his usual self, but most pitchers would have 5 losses with his run support.

He is usually Mr. No decision so to have 7 decisions for him already is unusual

For him to have the no decisions instead of the 5 losses, his ERA would have to be around 1.00 right now. The offense when he pitches has been ridiculous.

Looks like a re-building team to me, one that's on its way to the cellar. It's going to be a brutal season, we knew it.

It's gonna be brutal only cause Cleveland is still really good. The rest of the teams in our division suck. Sox can't beat the Baltimore's of the world, but if they got rid of a few horrific players and tinkered here and there they might be able to hang around .500. That's because the manager is pretty good. Will be interesting to see if this three game sweep starts the trip to oblivion or if Renteria can get the team to shrug it off. Baltimore is on a different level; we're not gonna beat teams like that.

Baltimore is far from a GREAT team. A lot of baseball is just the timing of when you play teams, home and away, etc.

When you start Dylan Covey, you can't expect to win more than 10-15% of those games.

We'll find out how they respond at home against the Twins and Padres, two teams in similar situations as the White Sox...

Respectfully that is not the plan nor should it be. Staying stuck in mediocrity (like the Bulls for example) is absolutely the very worst thing that you can be.
