Yeah he looks like he has a clue at the plate which makes me not worry.

Apparently Abreu's bats work for him

Dan Hayes @CSNHayesThe average exit velocity off the 13 balls in play recorded vs. Lucas Giolito is 71 mph. Only two balls have been hard hit.`

Hope Abreu gets Yoyo his bat dimensions for next season.

The little kid in front of me caught a Buster Posey bat on Saturday night. It's better than catching a ball. I told him to sell it when Buster makes the HOF.

I am going to guess the exit velocity on that one was a bit higher than 71 mph.

So if Shields mentoring gets Giolito into the HOF and Tatis gets into the Hall of Fame it's a wash in my book...now...where the hell is Charlie Tilson.

Who? Are you sure he plays on the Sox, let alone baseball?

Was my dream as a kid. That or a players hockey stick.

LG has been very good, look forward too watching him next year.

Yes he's been great. K rate is a little low but hes pitched very well. Can't wait to see him in the rotation next season.

Giolito in his last 4 starts 25.2IP 5ER 13H 11BB 22K 2.10 ERA 1.013 WHIP, including the inherited runner scoring this inning.

I was never a Melky fan. Now I am. :D

Darn

thank you ump Tyler and Bummer !

That strike one call changed that whole sequence. It was probably 4 inches low, maybe more.

Royals tie it up. no W for Gio but ya know..

I think ReyLo and Giolito are learning how to k hitters when their secondary stuff isn't capable of it. We will see the fruits of that soon.

But on days like this, I like the gutsiness, probably a little bit of luck. Really like when they are working through things at this level and still finding ways to get out of trouble.

KC just ran themselves out of that inning.

Yoan on base 4 times today.

OPS back over 700
