It took like 4 google searches, many of which turned up the town of Moore, Texas, and Roy Moore getting support from Texans. A link just woulda been nice.

Four whole google searches the horror

(I googled “moore to Texas” and it was the first article on the page under 3 tweets)

If he was DFAd, can't he just be claimed off waivers for nothing?

Nope.

When a player's contract is designated for assignment -- often abbreviated "DFA" -- that player is immediately removed from his club's 40-man roster. Within seven days of the transaction (had been 10 days under the 2012-16 Collective Bargaining Agreement), the player can either be traded or placed on irrevocable outright waivers.

Bob Nightengale‏Verified account @BNightengale 1h1 hour ago Realmuto and Yelich understandably don't want to be the last marquee player standing in #Marlins rebuild, but #Marlins plan for both to be on opening day roster, particularly Realmuto, who is considered close to untouchable.

Marlin's situation looks to be a disaster. Realmuto and Yelich are not pleased and both reportedly are looking to get out.

More

Bit of a surprise: #RedSox announce signing of free-agent 1B Mitch Moreland to a two-year contract.

Boston must really not have liked the asking prices of free agents and in trades to sign Moreland for two years. He's not a terrible player by any means, but when you are competing in a division with the Yankees I'm sure fans were looking for a more robust move.

If they sign JD Martinez that might appease fans?
