So it's interesting they have Cordell leading off against a LHP and Yoan batting 7th. Meanwhile Yolmer has been leading off vs RHP

Cordell had a leadoff single in the first, nothing else.

Cordell walked on 4 pitches.

Well it is difficult to get two ABs in an inning. :D

That was amazing Nicky.

Sounds like Delmonico just came in on a ball that was over his head, and turned what should have been the 3rd out into a double.

Fulmer looks ready :)

Pretty much. With it being so early and Arizona, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, but kind of hard to do knowing he wasn't very good in left last year.

This is more on our defense than him

I hate losing to these bastards - even in the preseason.

Moncada spring training game jersey came today. Excited for the season

Hector Santiago really cruising through the Cubs on paper. 3 IP 0H 0BB 3K. Any idea how velcocity and stuff looked?

Stuff looked very good. Tons of swings and misses on his fastball. He is the most impressive pitcher I've seen this spring. Yeah, Kopech was great too, but Kopech got away with relying on his fastball velo. Hector had good control and movement. No idea about velocity, as they didn't mention it on WGN at all.

Gomez has pitched well so far...

Walsh looks like he has a shot someday.

Cubs 6, Sox 5, final.

Robert went 1-1, 1B, BB.

Saladino had another good game on both sides of the ball- maybe he's finally healthy?

Santiago had good movement and life over 3 innings of work.

Fulmer got screwed over by his defense so much to the point where I can't put any stock into the results. He had to throw a lot more pitches early on than he should've.

Saladino also made a hell of a play at 3B for a DP. Not sure what the Sox do with him...I can't see him making the roster out of ST...but the guy would be a solid bench player for somebody.

All this talk about who plays 3B. How about just leave Davidson there?

and put who there? dude is still relatively young...

He will hit 30 homers if he plays 130 games. Those guys serve a purpose, especially on a team that’ll be lucky to win 80 games. Like someone else said, he’s young. Why not give him a shot?
