Yea I’m sure Debartolo would have totally built a stadium with his own money

I mean he got that great new modern facility built in San Francisco.

You seem to think you know a lot more about the business of professional baseball than you actually know.

If thats the case then we are in agreement . I understood it fully and I stand by my support of the post.

How many years did he drag a 5 time SB champ on in an ancient, substandard, shared Candlestick Park?

Yea, they built it right on the Oceanside looking at the bridge in San Francis.....*squints at wiki*....Santa Clara with his own mon....*refers to wiki again*.....taxpayer money

Anybody thinking about making the relatively short drive to Cincinnati for the series over 7/4?

My dad and I went in 2009. Aside from the extreme heat, the park is awesome. Not much going on in the city, but those should be some winnable games.

I also heard DeBartolo LOVED having a pen pal, so we kinda missed out there, too. Stupid Reinsdorf.....
Have you noticed that JR has disappeared from the scene? He use to appear on TV and radio and would grant interviews with the papers. No more. He has been MIA for a long time.

No I have not.

Debartolo would not have been approved due to certain alleged gangster affiliations.

The 49ers owner is the son. Not the same guy. The father was not going to be approved because of the commissioner.

It would be nice if we have someone like Wash working with Anderson, Moncada & company on their infield mechanics. This work is typically done at times during spring training. Ron Washington does this with fielders all season long. Ozzie Albies has been working his ass off with Wash all last season and is continuing it this season. Anderson needs work on his footwork and his glove mechanics. He has the physical tools to be an elite SS but needs to put in the hours of grind to have it become 2nd nature. Too bad Vizquel is a manager in the minors and not up with the big league team. He would be an outstanding influence on the young infielders.

This year should be about maximizing the development all around of our players. Whatever it takes.

Joe McEwing works with him endlessly.

Excellent. Then its really about him getting reps, committing to the process and getting game reps. Its about converting the normal plays at an extremely high rate and then letting athleticism take over on the non-routine plays. Working on footwork and doing drills is not sexy or fun. But the work will pay off in the long run. The physical tools are there.

Watching NBC-Chi on directv and it’s the Knights. Kopech started and went six giving up one run. Bullpen if Ross and Minaya give up six runs in the 7th and then Minaya gives up a homer in 8th and the SWB takes a 8-5 lead. Somethings never change

Believe me WBWSF, i know your opinion on Reinsdorf. You whine about him incessantly, the space he occupies in your head is immense

Not to be confused with the incessant whining by an apparently uninformed, yet overzealous mod, about anyone, ANYONE, who dares to call into question the horrific record of the owner.

Oh hai Thad, so surprised to see you pull up a 4 day old argument about JR. Gonna cry about JR kicking your dog again? Cant wait

I've never been a fan of Reinsdorf overall, but at least he cares enough about the teams to try to win. Some ownership groups are just in it for the cash.

Kevan Smith victim of hidden ball trick. Bet kangaroo court has a field day!

Forbes Magazine said that the White Sox will have $260 in yearly revenue in 2018. The Sun Times said the White Sox team payroll (which is 28th in MLB) for 2018 will be $60 million dollars. JR and his investors are laughing all the way to the bank with this dismal team.
