Should be a lively park in St. Louis Tuesday night and Wednesday afternoon.

Shields vs Wacha

Giolito vs Martinez

NL leads interleague this season 20-12.

You seem to think you know a lot more about the business of professional baseball than you actually know.

If thats the case then we are in agreement . I understood it fully and I stand by my support of the post.

  • Based on your recent posts, I would say this is accurate.

I'll be at both games in St. Louis.  Who else is going?

I got tickets for both games.

That's just terrible for a major newspaper. Editing ? Proof reader ? Not just the headline but also a few times in the story too.

It's the Cub-une with their rotating reporter coverage of the Sox.

No, barrel rate is its own stat. Its basically a percentage of balls hit in an optimum launch angle range above a certain exit velocity.

About as useful as framing stats.

Been calling them that for years. Sounds fine to me.

Eaton has been a mess for Washington since the trade.

He's officially injury prone.  If it's not one thing it's another with him.  It always sorta annoyed me when he'd talk in interviews about "needing the legs at 100%" (I mean maybe he's correct) but as a fan that's not what you want to hear.  I believe him though, his speed underpins his entire game.  From his defensive value to his BABIP and OBP.

He's got a bone bruise I guess.   Not good.  Painful injury.  Hassan Whiteside tried to play through one in the NBA this year and then was shelved for about a month.

Hahn absolutely aced his extension and both Eaton trades.  Bought low and sold at absolute peak.

I mean he's right tho.  They have no dedicated Sox guy anymore.

That nickname should have died when it was sold.  I wonder how much coverage they would be devoting if the cubs were still in full suck mode

Probably a lot more than what they devote to us,

It is such a dumb argument.  Of course they are going to cover the Cubs more. It is a much bigger audience to sell to.  Being bitter about basic business principles is such a bad look.

Cub-une is a level of pettiness below serious baseball fans.

Besides, if you’re a serious baseball fan, you don’t care about the trib. The Athletic is the only place to be.

I guess now Chicago-area senior citizens will be confused about the spelling of Daniel Palka’s last name.

That is Buerhle at the Sox/Cards game sucking back a Busch tallboy. Fame and fortune did not change him.

Love Mark Buehrle. My favorite Sox player of all time (27-year old here).

Least surprising post ever.  Mark Buehrle is Mark Buehrle.

Nobody doesn't like Mark. Never forget the bullpen appearance in Houston along with the two no-mos.
