What does fly out mean guys ?

Sox have 4 guys in their lineup today with an .840+ OPS

It mean the hitter hit the ball in the air usually to an outfielder that was caught for an out. If was to an infielder it would be a pop out.

The ball was hit in the air and caught (an out) by the defense. Typically these are hit higher as opposed to a line out, which is when the ball is hit hard and straight but caught (an out)

    Yup Covey announced for game 2. Someone else will be departing. 

    Covey and and Engel should cut Shields and some of the vets from the 2016 club that sucked so badly a check.

     

    The rebuild has gotten them MLB pensions...
