This guy broke it yesterday and has had legit insider info. He also broke then signing another outfielder after ervin Santana. He says the Sox are waiting until the final bid requests come in to make their move. Hence them being "out". Going to try to pull what the Padres did to them

Who is this guy?

i follow him but some of his stuff seems like coincidental jabs at things, some come true, some not

Looks to me that he is telling people the Sox are probably not going after Harper. Where do you see him saying that Sox are waiting to put in final bid?

He's a genuine fan so he's negative like we are but he has a legit source.

Yeah, this. He was wrong about various Machado tidbits many times

If he wants to take a short term deal, how about 4 years @ $40 Million per, no opt outs? After 4 years, he can go across town and play with his Buddy Bryant, if he's still a Cub. The Harpers wouldn't even need to sell their house.

Also seems to reflect some of what the fraudulent MLB Insider posts

Pretty obvious he prefers the west coast.  If he's signing a short term deal, it isn't going to be with the White Sox.

Only reason he would sign with the Sox is 1) they offer the most money and 2) they offer the most money and he hates the idea of spending 10 years in Philly.

End of story.

He'd go to LA then.

Man the Sox are good at being stealth. No mention of them in this report either!

How much would you guess the Dodgers would offer?

No one has any idea, but safe to assume somewhere beween $34.5M-$40M AAV on a 3-4 year basis.

So would 4 years, @$45 million per, do it? If not, then he must really not want to play for the Sox. We know that it isn't the city. He likes Chicago.

I'm thinking the Sox are just about out of this, even if they were trying to be under the radar.  One of the Giants or Dodgers will end up offering long-term.

I don't think he has any intention of playing for a team that won't contend right away.

Bryce Harper isn't taking a short-term deal. You don't hire Scott Boras to do that. he'll get his $$.

So the Giants are out

Bad move. Didn't work out too well when the Sox tried to call Lozano's bluff.

Could well blow up in his face, or get him out to another team if they see the opening.  Or the offers they claim are there, aren't really there.

They truly aren't in, but should jump in last minute, apparently.

This is the exact type of offer that LA has supposedly been willing to offer, and LA is one of his top two choices.

If a team is willing to put 4/$160 on the table, why would that same team not be willing to put up the next 6/$160 to put it in the range of Stanton's deal?

The Sox haven't even made an official offer if the rumors are correct.

If that happens, you can say bye-bye to Harper. If neither do, then there is a nonzero chance. ( nonzero means less than .001 percent but greater than zero. )

Because there is a significant difference between 4/$160M and 10/$320M????

I agree with you/ A team like the Dodgers is screwed financially if they do a short-term deal. I think if he ends up in LA, the deal will be like 13-14 years with opt outs to lower the CBT amount.
