Alright, I really truly believe Manny will make his decision once we get to 200 pages.  Unfortunately with peavy44 suddenly MIA, that might take another couple of weeks.

While I’ll be disappointed if the Sox don’t sign one of Harper/Machado, I’m not going to be upset as it appears the Sox have done everything that they could have done to land one of these guys, it’s all that we can ask of the org because the players have to make the final decision.

Also, MLB Network is opening up MLB Tonight with an update from Levine.

Simply put, if the Yankees wanted him, he would be there right now. They don't or more of the point Hal doesn't. So here we are. Sox just need to beat out Philly. I like those chances.

If it's between Phillies and Sox now, the only thing they can lose out on is money.  They don't have to deal with the "preferred team", and they should have some advantage with his buddies on the roster.  They've come this far, it's not the time to let money get in the way.

Unless its announced they didn't offer the most. Then they have no one to blame but themselves.

I know it's a minor thing, but it's a little odd to me that Jay's deal hasn't been announced yet.

Wellness check on Dan Clark?

Well, driving home from work, hope more news is broken in the meantime!

Doubt he would back down now.

Ultimate plot twist: He is getting released as soon as Manny signs.

Hell yeah!!! LETS GO!!!!!!!

They have to make a roster move. Probably the reason for the delay.

Well what an exciting little tid bit

If the Yankees are truly out this should be settled quickly. Shocked they tapped out this early.

Hopefully they have to make two more.

So its down to highest bidder.  Sox better be that highest.

I agree with all of this^

KW and Hahn would face an angry mob all season if they come up short on both players. They have put all of their chips in on nabbing a whale, and not delivering would crush a suffering fanbase. We do not need to be competitive in 2019, or even 2020 for that matter, but there better damn be significant hope for the future coming from outside the organization.

Conversely,  are the cheered and revered if they do sign one?

Failed his physical

Again, all signs point to that this process is getting to be near the end game.  I know nothing concrete, but it wouldn't shock me if this was down to NYY and Sox and they were trying to decide between two offers, or even running back to the Yankees to say "can you beat this?"

 I was really close.

Though I will say, I won't count the Yankees out until the ink dries on the contract.

Dan Clark blocked me about an hour ago. He knows this is the end and doesn't want me blowing him up anymore. Screw that dude.

His physical consists of the following

"Dial the phone to Manny Machado and get him to agree to a contract with the Chicago White Sox."

LETS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!

Buys them some time from me and shows me they actually are for real about building a good baseball team whatever it takes.

Certainly seems like this is the situation.
