To be fair his k to bb ratio looks better than that, some bad luck with babip was probably involved.

However you need to consider that maybe his batted ball profile is  conductive to low babips. Everything is pulled, lots of fly balls and a lot of pop ups too. Brian dozier and jose Bautista had a similar profile. It is good to maximize your raw power but hurts the average.

That is the issue with him, he has some pop but maybe not enough to make this very polarized pull flyball profile work.

I mean Bautista was great despite consistently posting sub 270 babips but he also hit tons of homers and walked a ton. With 30 homers the profile is great with 15 not so much.

Moving Moncada to 3B was a tell that the Sox think Madrigal will be up soon. Maybe not this season, but they clearly don't think it will be much longer than that.

Nope. And I'm bullish on Madrigal.

I don't expect him to get called up this year but I honestly would not be surprised if he was.

Realistically, if anyone was going to get rushed, it was going to be Eloy.  The dude hit at every single level he was at.  He was slowed.  Madrigal will start off in A ball this year.  Three levels in one year is insane for a hitter.

his nickname should be Mags2. He'll be up by June 1st if he's playing well. Cease will be up by  then as well. White Sox will do this to spur 

interest in a lousy team. Cease will be able to handle it. I don't know if Mags2 can. If he does OK, then 2020 will be fun.
