Well that’s a hell of a game for Yonder

Remember when posters were crushing Alonso while he was a carrying a BABIP under 150 but a wRC+ still near 100? Those things even out.

Good night to be in RF

Yonder up to a 791 OPS.

Do we give yonder the ABs to reach his option, or trade him at the deadline if he's hitting that well?

Rough night for Timmy.

Trade him.

Isn’t 2020 a team option if he doesn’t reach the 550 plate appearance threshold?  If so, there’s no reason to let it automatically gets.  He’s more valuable to us and other teams if 2020 is not guaranteed.

There really isn’t anything at stake either way.

You hate Abreu but you ask this question?  Alonso likely isn’t worth another $9 million any more than Abreu is worth $16 million.  Hope they are both hitting well at the deadline and trade them both.

Is Colome available again?

Not that it matters anymore but I think he would have been

So Colome it is.

Seems kinda dumb. What if we need him tomorrow in an actual save situation

Not really a fan of Colome here.  Just pitched yesterday and in a non-save situation.  Throw Frare or someone out there.

Yeah, because Abreu is hitting like trash and will likely be paid more than he is worth in the off-season. Yonder is a lefty who plays competent first base. If he keeps hitting well, he will have value at the deadline and possibly next year

Why use Colome here

Frare ain’t on the roster, but otherwise I agree.

Renteria going to Renteria.  As if a guy couldn't have gotten warmed up once the HR was hit.

It’s the ninth inning so Colome must pitch. It’s in his manager Manual.

Ruiz was warming too which makes it even worse

He is just a terrible manager.

Lol...that was awesome.

Not only yesterday, but Sunday too. He's definitely going to be unavailable tomorrow. I disagree with this decision. They might actually need him tomorrow.

Jesus christ.  Another ball that should have been caught by an OF.
