I might caveat myself by pointing out that his BABIP is shit (.184, or something like that), but when I watch him, except for the occasional bomb, it doesn't even look like he hits it hard. And no adjustments are made to beat the shift. And ultimately, at some point, he does have to actually produce. A .626 OPS at 1B isn't gonna be OK just because his peripherals suck.
