Detwiler and Palka getting a chance to change some minds with this game.  So far...Detwiler taking good advantage...Palka not so much.

He threw about 50 pitches on Monday so he wasn't on full rest and it is nice to get him out now with the lead and not leave him in to blow up

Reading up on Detwiler, I just gotta root for a guy who went to the Independent League twice and finds himself starting a major league game again.

It makes me wonder why Despaigne got the call up first.  Was Detwiler just bad in Charlotte?

I think Palka has looked good tonight.   Hit the ball hard once or twice. Seeing it well.

This lineup and pitching matchup didn't seem very appealing but we have seen many worse efforts.

Dety was getting ahead of hitters all night, pitched well. 

Marshal came out firing.
