Ok it’s just one game in a rebuilding year

Look, Reinsdorf and/or Hahn/KW may very well fuck things up this offseason, but we should have more money to spend than any other team.  There is no legitimate excuse for failing to land what we need.

Glad to see the flat earth coalition is still having their meetings.

Control issues again

I’m still confused why they called him up when he was struggling to get out of the first innings of AAA games.

You mean trade Cease for Thor?  Agreed

Trade everyone -- Colome, Abreu, Leury, Nova, etc.

Jay can not leave this team fast enough.

Nice bat flip, Kepler.

There has to be better things to do on your Friday night than watch this awful Sox team.  ?

Very soon I will be doing one of them.

It's a good thing the sox played for that one run last inning.

How does a starting pitcher not have command of their fastball?  This is like the #1 thing you need as a starter.

Don’t worry, it will be slow in his movement.

Two days in a row they seem to know every pitch before it’s thrown...

Hahn better acquire a couple of bona fide major league good starting pitchers this offseason.

He didn’t in AAA this year. Go back and trash the threads of his start, DirtySox was consistent in saying he couldn’t throw his fastball for strikes.

More terrible Positioning by Sox defensive !

It’d be nice to have a prospect come up and just be good right away. And no, i’m not calling Cease a bust. But every top prospect we have is awful right when they come up.

So we have one good pitcher (Giolito), two question marks (Lopez and Cease), and two pitchers coming back from surgeries (Kopech and Rodon).

Hahn basically has to sign Cole and Wheeler/Bumgarner to have a shot next year.

Unwatchable before the second inning is complete is just a bit much.

Didn't you make the exact same post in the last game thread?  ?

There’s just a crazy gap in talent between Sox offense and Twins.  Their offense now is basically what the Sox hope to have it things go right.

Have the Sox even had a halfway competent outfielder coach in the past 20 years?

We treat defense like an after thought here.

Sox offense in two years will be better. The pitching on the other hand is a huge question mark. All financial resources need to be poured into pitching the next two winters.

Oh my god! I can't believe the FO isn't calling up Cease when he's just sitting there in the minors and our starting pitching is so bad! He couldn't possibly be this bad!

Backup quarterback fallacy

Backup quarterback fallacy

Backup quarterback fallacy

What more could he possibly have to learn down there!

Gee... I don't know. Maybe how to pitch, for starters. But hey... who ever said command was important :)

This is a problem for me with the Sox. This is undeniable. The Sox don't value defense highly enough as an organization.

The best was Jay acting pissed off after Engel swiped him. Get out of his way bozo. It's not like Jay is a young player. Its unacceptable. If I can get there as a CF'er get the fuck out of my way.

Would like to have Robert and Madrigal  on the big club so they can all mature together.  Every one of our future players is going to go through this learning curve.  Might as well get the suck over with together.
