For all the incessant complaining about him, you wouldn't think that Eloy is on a 39 HR/162 game pace in his rookie year.

  • Action in practically every inning.   Any kid going to this game as his first is probably hooked for life.  That's how Sox fans get made.

  • What's also nice, Miley isnt exactly acing our guys. A lot of low and in sliders to righties (away to lefties) and he's falling behind a lot, forcing him to throw soft stuff down the middle. Our guys

@fathom Would you say that was a BOMB?

Only 434...so nope

He hits 95% of his HR's to dead center.  I have no idea why he doesn't try to pull the ball more with his power.  He pulled a shot for a double in yesterdays night game and it was beautiful.

Fathom.

My favorite part about Eloy really catching one is the immediate crowd reaction.

It isn't a cheer. It isn't even a gasp. Its the same noise a crowd makes when a boxer takes one on the chin, an audible "ooophh."

And his fielding has improved as well.

lol open up boxscore… look at slugging of Houston,,, then ours - its pretty amazing

Marshall is just this year’s version of Matt Albers, regression will hit him hard.

my apologies.  first day back to work. all humor has been removed.

Marshall is not nearly as good as his numbers suggest.

and Altuve ties it.  Damnit.

Fielders running into each other.  Will it ever stop?

Yep hope they aren’t actually relying on him for next year.

I wouldn't count on him next year. He's a guy I'd definitely upgrade. Remember Cliff Politte in 2005 and 2006? Kinda like that.

Eloy hit a HR.  I don't care if Osich gives up 37 HR in a row at this point.

Meh, Tim and Eloy playing well makes this a good game regardless

Shaping up to be a great tank loss

Win or lose...nice to see us give a good fight to a team like Houston.  Not long now til this is an everyday event.

Maybe it's me but it seems like they play better against good teams not named Oakland.

First guy out of the pen, sure why not. Anything beyond that is a bad idea.
