September 17, 20196 yr You absolutely shut him down. Hell of a season Gio. Hopefully he has no issues with it next season.
September 17, 20196 yr People on Twitter are already freaking out and thinking the injury is a lot more serious than the Sox are making it out to be. Wonderful.

September 17, 20196 yr Just now, Chicago White Sox said: And you believe them why? I don’t. It’s just sad that Sox fans have been conditioned to expect the worst case scenario of everything.
September 17, 20196 yr Author I'm just glad it's nothing serious. This is like a 10 day DL thing during the season.

September 17, 20196 yr At this point, roll out the tank squad. Shut down Cease as well. Hell of a season, Gio!
September 17, 20196 yr Good move by the Sox. I’ve ever seen someone make a turn around like Giolito did this year in any sport. I hope the Sox really explore locking him up long term And yeah, I’d shut down Cease as well. He’s around 125+ IP for the year. He had 124 IP last year.
September 17, 20196 yr If they want Cease to go 175+ next year...not sure how it would kill him to pitch in the 130-140 range. Seems to be a natural progression. Obviously, more high stress innings this year at the major league level, I don't have the number of 20+ pitch innings right in front of me. If that's elevated, then they might go ahead and shut him down...want him to have that positive feeling going into the offseason.

He has 2 or 3 starts left.
September 17, 20196 yr Good move and nothing to be concerned of. Give Cease another 2 games and shut him down too.

Maybe in a pennant race he would have come back for a start but no reason now. If anything lose a few more games so you get that 6 or 7 pick. Not saying they should intentionally lose, you just not risk a worse injury to a core player just to win 2 more games.

Throw him 125 back to back years and then next year hes supposed to throw 180-200? Makes no sense. He needs another 20 innings+ this year to put him in position to throw 180-200 next year.
