It was put out by a reporter in the DR, someone else also had said the Ozuna family believe this to be true as well. Doesn’t make much sense to have the beat writers here in the states bluntly deny it, you would want them to spread that rumor as well would be my guess. The hush hush part is just because of machado and wheeler fallouts is my guess.

December 7, 20196 yr I would of strongly preferred Castellanos. But if it's Marcell - ok. It could be a lot worse. He did look dangerous in the playoffs when I saw him. Hopefully some of his Miami form returns - if he is indeed signing here.

After thinking they had Machado and/or Wheeler in the bag, I wouldn't blame the Sox for being tight-lipped until it's signed, sealed and delivered.
