Had a Cy Young type season last year, but is old and only has 2 years left, so I could see the Rays be willing to sell high on him. I wonder if they could work out a package around Reynaldo Lopez and a couple prospects. Ew.

And the Pirates got robbed in that trade. Madrigal/Vaughn plus Cease gets you pretty close in terms of value for Snell. Maybe TB gets a lower level flyer to round it out? not saying I would do it, but that’s a potential framework

December 10, 20196 yr Happ is probably not going to cost much prospect wise. I wouldn't hate him as a #5.

I would assume he'd cost nothing and the Yankees would probably need to pick up some of his deal.

The Rays are never going to trade him for something that's not a complete evisceration of our minor league system...and then it's only going to be based on their projections that 2019 is much more the norm for him (going forward) than 2018.

I’d pass On Happ, especially at $17 million plenty if cheaper alternatives available, many with more upside
December 10, 20196 yr I want nothing to do with a Tampa trade. They almost always win their returns. Gallen is the only guy that makes sense outside of Snell to me. And I think Sox would be better off pairing with Dbacks
December 10, 20196 yr Happ makes zero sense to acquire when you could’ve just signed Hamels to a similar contract. And he’s better than Happ.

December 10, 20196 yr Well, I would have been fine with Hamels on a one year deal too. I think the Yankees would need to pick up a few million or throw in a low level prospect to sweeten the deal.

December 10, 20196 yr Frazier is basically a RHH DH who doesn't walk and doesn't hit for power and doesn't defend and wasn't even good in AAA last year and people want him in RF? I'd literally rather just give Leury those reps

December 10, 20196 yr Rank these guys from who you’d want the most to who you’d want the least: Blake Snell, Jon Gray, German Marquez, Zac Gallen

If it's most valuable, I'd go Gallen, Snell, Marquez, Gray
